Combine the magic of Machu Picchu with the mystery of Easter Island. This Yampu trip starts in Lima, the capital of Peru. From Lima, we fly to Cuzco, the old capital of the Incas. We will board a train to Machu Picchu and spend a night close to the ruins. After experiencing Peruvian’s wonder Machu Picchu, we travel into the Pacific Ocean to Easter Island, Chile. With its 600 or so Moai statues from a bygone civilization, Easter Island is an utterly unique place.

Starting in La Paz, the highest capital in the world, we then move to the border between Bolivia and Peru, where we explore Lake Titicaca, the highest navigable lake in the world. The Uyuni salt flats beautifully reflect the sapphire-blue Altiplano sky. Crossing the highlands we move into Chile and the Atacama Desert, the highest desert in the world. After seeing volcanoes, hot springs and salt flats see the modern Chilean capital of Santiago.

See the historic Peruvian capital, of Lima before traveling to Cuzco, the once center of the Inca Empire. A breathtaking train ride takes us to Machu Picchu and then we explore Lake Titicaca. You will also visit La Paz, the world’s highest capital, Uyuni, an enormous salt flat expanse and San Pedro de Atacama, the world’s highest and driest desert. The trip ends with two nights in Chile’s metropolitan capital, Santiago.
