Porto Alegre is the capital of Rio Grande do Sul, the southernmost of Brazil's states. Located on the banks of the Guaíba River, it is a large city with a charm of its own. European colonization and easy access to other South American countries have had a marked cultural influence here. The local "gaúchos" speak Portuguese with a dialect all their own, and the farmers dress like the men of the Argentine pampas.

The Iguazu Falls are considered one of the natural wonders of the world. They are certainly one of the largest and most impressive waterfalls on Earth. They are twice as large as Niagara Falls, with 275 cascades spread in a horseshoe shape over nearly two miles of the Iguazu River. The tropical, jungle-like setting is beautiful. The falls are divided by various islands forming several different waterfalls. We will see the falls from both the Brazil and Argentina sides, and will take a zodiac boat to the lower Iguazu River upstream to discover the falls up-close, with a panoramic view of the falls. Be prepared to get wet under the falls!

Come and see south Brazil in a different way: on board the deluxe train “Great Brazil Express”. Our trip will be in Paraná State and begins in Curitiba, crossing the Coast Mountain Range and fields to Cascavel. From there we will travel by bus to Foz do Iguaçú. Part of the tour is made by train and other by deluxe bus. Nights are spent in comfortable hotels. The trip ends with three nights stay around Iguazu Falls with tours in and around the falls area.
