For hundreds of years the natives of the Amazon Rainforest have used a highly potent and hallucinogenic mixture known as "Ayahuasca”. This particular remedy is alleged to cleanse your body and soul, and heal you from illness or ill luck. This spiritual journey designed by Yampu revolves around the Ceremony of the Ayahuasca and the natives of the Amazon Rainforest who use it. The Ceremony will involve two night sessions and will be conducted by a Master Shaman in the Heliconia Lodge.

This trip brings us high into the Andes Mountians to the Marcahuasi Plateau, an elevation at 12,000 feet. This plateau is renowned for its frequent UFO sightings, and is also known as a high-energy point with healing powers. The area is covered with rocks in several shapes including an astronaut, a pilot flying a plane, and several different animals. There is yet no scientific explanation as to their origin making this Yampu trip of particular intrigue.

Refugio Amazonas is a charming lodge located adjacent to the Tambopata National Reserve. Here we will treat our body with baths, massages, and aromatherapy. We will learn of nature and its several mysterious ways of teaching us about life and wellness. After cleaning our body of all toxins, we will prepare for the Ayahuasca Ceremony, a ritual used for self discovery and emotional re-encounter. We will also enjoy the beautiful landscape and the various species of local animals at the reserve, and learn of the curative benefits of the Amazonian flora.

In this excursion we will search to purify and energize our bodies and souls. We will learn about the rituals of the Incas and participate in a pilgrimage to several of their places of worship. Starting in Cuzco, we will travel to the mountaintop citadel of Machu Picchu. This pilgrimage will be lead by a Master Shaman who will accompany us through the entire circuit.
