Costa Rica

Costa Rica is a small country with an extensive national parks system that covers 25 percent of the land, and an incredible biodiversity: tropical rain forests, dense cloud forests, and active volcanoes. It also has beautiful beaches on its two coasts: the Caribbean and the Pacific. Costa Rica is basically where eco-tourism began, and it stands as the most visited nation in the region.

Yampu features a brief tour and complete tour, which take you to Arenal Volcano and Manuel Antonio National Park, and complete circuits which take you to all the country’s highlights. We also offer programs with fine resorts amid incredibly varied topography—cloud forests, volcanoes, hot sandy beaches and more. In Costa Rica, Yampu’s basic tours are the Costa Rica Highlights Tours. Since these tours do not have set dates of departure and are subject to availability, you can choose your own dates of travel.

Customer testimonial:

Costa Rica did not disappoint! It is truly a lovely country, with much diversity, and beautiful wildlife. El Silencio Lodge (food outstanding) was magical! Our tour to Mistico Mountain with our guide, Andre, was awesome. We also loved Finca Rosa Blanca. Our tour to Arenal and Tabacon was also spectacular ... our driver, Hernon, went off the beaten path to show us more of the wildlife, where we spotted our first Toucan and monkeys. The last hotel, Hotel Issimo & Suites was very nice, with wonderful views and nice room décor. We did the Zip Line Tour in Manuel Antonio Park, which my husband loved, but I did not like so much due to becoming more fearful of heights. In any case, it was enjoyed by everyone on the trip, so I was in the minority :). Our best dinner in Manuel Antonio was at the Gaia Reserve, but the rains were heavy at times, so the view was obstructed, unfortunately. The Hotel Issimo had good food, too, and was reasonably priced we thought. All in all, our experience in Costa Rica was "Pura Vida!" The timeliness of the drivers shepherding us to and from the different provinces went very smoothly. I would definitely recommend Yampu Tours to all my friends!
