Yampu Trips
For each of our destination countries (or combination of countries), you will find several highlight tours that include the must-see destinations. You may then extend your trip by choosing from a comprehensive list of add-on trips, to customize the trip of your dreams. We do not normally have set dates of departure, so you can choose your own. You may also choose the type of accommodation, ranging from 3-star to Deluxe.
“Get more Info” Button
You may request additional information about the trips in which you are interested by clicking the “Get more Info” button located on the detailed trip page. Clicking this button will open a pop-up window containing a form, which you can fill out and send to us. Once we receive your request, our travel specialists will e-mail you the requested information.
“Add to My Trips ” Button
Simply click this button to add a trip to the Trip Planner. You will then be asked to create a login name and password so that you may store all Yampu trips in which you are interested. Once you are ready to receive more detailed information, click “Get more information on these trips,” fill out the form, and one of our travel specialists will contact you shortly..
Live Chat
Yampu’s staff is always available to assist you with any questions you may have. Our office is open Monday to Friday from 5 am to 8 pm, Eastern Standard Time. Simply click on any of the “Live Chat” or “Questions?” buttons throughout the site. This button will open a pop-up window with a Live Chat icon. Simply enter the information requested and one of our travel specialists will assist you with your travel plans.
Terms and Conditions
Airport taxes, passport and visa fees are not included in this invoice. Valid passport is required for travel in the country of destination, and a visa may also be needed (American citizens always require a visa for Brazil). Your passport also needs to be valid at least 6 months after your return date from trip. Vaccinations may also be required, especially if traveling to rural areas or the Amazon region. Please check with your local Center for Disease Control and Prevention. It is the sole responsibility of traveler to make sure that he/she complies with all passport, visa and vaccination requirements. Kontiki Tours & Travel (DBA Yampu Latin America Tours) assumes no responsibility if client is refused boarding of a plane or entry into a country. Conditions are subject to change without notice. We reserve the right to vary itineraries or substitute hotels of similar standard if unforeseen circumstances beyond our control make these necessary. Yampu requires a minimum deposit of 50% of the total tour cost plus the full cost of the international airfare unless more is required for the purchase of domestic airfare, cruises and special hotels. Balance will be due 90 days prior to departure. Non-payment of balance on due date may forfeit all amounts paid and may result in immediate cancellation of booking. Bookings made within 90 days of travel will require full payment upon confirmation of services. NOTE FOR ONLINE BOOKINGS: Yampu requires full payment for all online bookings. Charge will be made only after all services have been confirmed. If they are different that requested we will first obtain your approval before charging your card. Any changes or cancellations made more than 60 days prior to departure will result in the loss of $500 per person plus any penalties involved in the cancellation or change of the airline ticket, cruise or hotel. All airline tickets are issued immediately upon confirmation of services, and all deposits to cruises and hotels are also placed upon confirmation. Any changes or cancellations made within 60 days of departure, may result in the loss of the amount paid, and will be assessed on an individual basis. Cancellation of any trip that has been requested but not yet confirmed will also result in the loss of $500 per person. Yampu Latin America Tours is not liable whatsoever for any claim arising out of or in connection with these packages, nor is it liable for loss of or damage or injury to property, or injury or death to person caused by reason of any defect, negligence or other wrongful act or omission by any transportation company, hotel, agency or any other cause beyond its reasonable control.

At Yampu, we take your privacy very seriously. What follows is our privacy policy, which explains how we collect, use and safeguard the personal information that you supply to us through our website, e-mail or fax. Yampu will not share any of your personal information with any third party other than as outlined in this privacy policy. What Information Do We Collect? When you visit our websites, you may be asked to fill out one or more forms. The form may contain your name, e-mail address, telephone and address. None of this information will be shared with any third party. We will not request your credit card information via our website or via e-mail. We may use cookies so that next time you visit our site the information will be stored in your browser. We do not use cookies to identify specific users for marketing purposes, and we do not use cookies to track your movements after leaving our websites. Most web browsers allow you to turn off cookies; however, turning off cookies will limit your use of our websites. Our Security and Storage Measures At Yampu, we are committed to maintaining the integrity and security of your personal information. We will only receive booking forms with your credit card information via a secure fax line, and the file is properly secured by management under lock.
