We had a very nice time in Venezuela. We were greeted well by our drivers and our hotels. Gibson greeted us in Caracas and took us to our Costa Real. It was a nice place to stay and the staff went above and beyond to make us comfortable. Luis picked us up in Margarita and took us to our hotel. It was a great hotel. The day tour was wonderful- we added a La Restinga addition which was wonderful. We went shopping in Pampatar one day. We went to Sambil- which was a nice mall. Luis was wonderful to deal with- very kind and helpful.
Our flight to Puerto Ordaz was delayed 2 hours- no fault of Yampu. We LOVED the hotel in Puerto Ordaz and our driver Diego. We were a little sorry that we didn’t have a little more time there to use the pool It looked awesome! Our flights to and in Canaima were fine and so was the lodge. We were lucky because though it was rainy season, we actually got clear photos of Angel Falls, The flight over the falls was great, though not at the time that we were given to go. We did not get on our plane until about 9:30, not at 8. Everything there is rather “loosey goosey” time-wise.
I think Yampu did an excellent job in organizing our trips and making everything work. Venezuela was a great experience and I feel happy to have seen the highest waterfall in the world. It was quite an adventure! Thanks again for all of your help. I will certainly keep you in mind for future trips. I am a “fan” of South America.

Traveled to Venezuela in July 2010I cannot believe it has been 3 weeks since we arrived home. I am so sorry I am so late in answering your email. We had absolutely the most wonderful adventure in the world (to the Angel Falls). You can’t imagine how thrilling it was. Thank you again for all your support and hard work. When I have figured out how to send pictures by email, I will send you some that I took. In the meantime have a Happy Holiday and my best wishes for the New Year.

We got back last night after a fantastic trip. I think Georgie would agree that it was one of our best trips we’ve been on. I am rushing all over the place today as off on holiday again at 4.30am tomorrow. Nothing like another holiday to get over the post holiday blues! All in all a fantastic trip. Overall I think what really worked well was that we felt we spent just the right amount of time in each place.
Thanks again for all your help. It was much appreciated, particularly given the limited time we left to organise it all!
