In Buenos Aires you will divulge in the city’s rich history and arts that are at the heart of Argentinean culture. Leaving Buenos Aires you will visit Iguazu Falls, one of the natural wonders of the world and taller than Niagara Falls, and twice as wide. In El Calafate you will visit the magnificent Perito Moreno Glacier, one of only three Patagonian glaciers that are not retreating.

Whilst of modern construction and dynamic activity, Buenos Aires has managed to preserve old traditions and charming corners. The Iguazu Falls and National Park are the largest in the Americas, surrounded by an amazing wildlife preserve in the middle of the jungle. The deep flowing waters of the river fall from a height of thirty feet through almost three hundred falls over two miles.

We will visit the magnificent Perito Moreno Glacier, a true ice river 60kms long that drops down to Lake Argentina, and one of only three Patagonian glaciers that are not retreating. We will also explore the northern tip of the Lago Argentino and the Estancia Cristina to see the breathtaking Upsala Glacier, 30km wide and the largest in the Patagonia.

Adventurers may want to take an optional trek to Laguna de los Tres, which faces the amazing Fitz Roy, and to Laguna Torre. Another optional excursion is in Chile, the Torres del Paine, a spectacular mountain range, which frames the Park of the same name, and extend to heights of up to 9,000 feet.
