This Yampu tour begins with three days in the capital city of Buenos Aires, the cultural central of Argentina. Here you will visit an estancia and enjoy a tango dinner show. Leaving Buenos Aires we travel to Bariloche with its amazing scenery and landscape. Here we will embark to the inspiring Correntoso Lodge and the Limay River that is described as one of the best rivers of the world for fly fishing.

Our final destination is the Correntoso Lodge, one of the premier hotels of Northern Patagonia. An exceptional option with spectacular scenery for both experienced and beginning fishermen. Its location and history will make you identify with the pioneers of the last century as it was a common point of reunion for the early settlers of Patagonia.

This trip can be customized to fit your individual travel dates and any specific requests you may have. Your travel consultant will prepare a customized itinerary for you. We offer a deluxe option – either the Alvear Palace or Four Seasons in Buenos Aires and choice of Lake View and deluxe Suite Lake View rooms at the Correntoso Lodge.

Day 1

Overnight flight to Buenos Aires.

Day 2

Arrive in Buenos Aires, and transfer to your hotel. Afternoon city tour of Buenos Aires, an impressive city that combines the atmosphere of an old European town with the features of a Latin American capital. In this tour, you will acquire a deep understanding of its characteristics, its history, its architecture, its culture and its best stories. We will visit the center of the city, San Telmo, La Boca, Puerto Madero and Palermo, with stops in Plaza de Mayo, Caminito and La Recoleta.
Note: check-in is normally after 2 pm. Early check-in may be granted subject to availability (not confirmed). Also, tour is done on group basis and may involve wait times picking up other passengers at different hotels. We recommend that this tour be done privately in order to avoid this, at an additional cost of $ 42 per person, based on two people ($ 84 based on one person).

Day 3

Fiesta Gaucha - Full-day excursion to an estancia for a typical barbeque lunch and a folklore/gaucho show. Here we will learn about the customs of the Argentinean gauchos, and their abilities on horseback that will leave you breathless. The meat will be cooked a lo gaucho outdoors on the barbeque. Lunch and drinks included. Afternoon, return to Buenos Aires. Duration: 6 hours. Operates every day except Tuesday.

Day 4

Day of leisure in Buenos Aires Evening tango show At night, you will watch an unforgettable tango show performed by the best dancers and singers while enjoying a delicious meal at Esquina Carlos Gardel. This world-famous tango show features the glamour of the 1930s in a romantic and intimate setting. This is the perfect way to leave Buenos Aires, the city of tango. Three-course dinner and Argentinean wine included.

Day 5

Morning transfer from Buenos Airies to Bariloche airport. We will provide a breathtaking tour of Bariloche and its fabulous views of the Andes across the blue waters of Lake Nahuel Huapi. Bariloche is surrounding by vast evergreen forests, snow-capped peaks and deep blue or transparent green lakes. We will visit the Virgin of the Snow, the ski lift Campanario, Lake El Trebol, the Panoramic Point, Lopez Bay and the Llao Llao Peninsula. On the return, we visit Cerro Otto (Otto Mountain) before transferring to the Correntoso Hotel where you can relax in the luxury of your magnificent surroundings.

Day 6

Departing in the morning, your main destination is the Limay River that is described as one of the best rivers of the world for sport fly fishing. In this river you will fish from rafts or drift boats in outstanding scenery. The Patagonian view offers an amazing atmosphere for both advanced fisherman as much as for beginners. On your return from a great day of fishing, stop, relax and reconnect yourself to the gentle pleasures of life at the Herbal Spa inspired by Argentina’s native and ancient cultures. The gourmet restaurant and wine bar offers fine Patagonian cuisine created with local game and produce whilst offering a view overlooking the beautiful Nahuel Huapi Lake.

Day 7

Your final day of fishing and your chance to revisit your favorite piece of water for ‘the one that got away’ or perhaps test your skill at any number of superb locations. Return to your hotel and transcend into luxury with fine tea and home made pastries and chocolates.

Day 8

Farewell breakfast and the return drive to the airport for a safe flight to Buenos Aires before transferring to the international airport for connecting flights back home.
