Let Yampu guide you to the magnificent Perito Moreno Glacier, a true ice river 60kms long that descends to Lake Argentina, and one of only three Patagonian glaciers that are not retreating. We will also explore the northern tip of the Lago Argentino and the Estancia Cristina to see the breathtaking Upsala Glacier. Adventurers may choose an optional trek to Laguna de los Tres, which faces the amazing Fitz Roy, and to Laguna Torre. Another optional excursion is to Torres del Paine in Chile, a spectacular mountain range extending to heights of up to 9,000 feet.

Day 1

Flight from Buenos Aires to Calafate. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel.

Day 2

Overland trip to Perito Moreno Glacier, one of the world’s largest active continental glaciers, declared Universal Mankind’s Heritage Site by UNESCO because of its breathtaking beauty and unusual behavior. A boat excursion to the face of the glacier is included to get an up-close and personal perspective of this immense gift from Mother Nature.

Optional mini-trekking excursion for outdoor enthusiasts (at additional cost).

Day 3

Depart from the hotel to Puerto Bandera, 50 kilometers (31 miles) away from El Calafate, to enjoy a full-day lake excursion to Upsala Glacier and Estancia Cristina. You will board a modern and comfortable boat to sail among hundreds of icebergs on Lago Argentino as it approaches the breathtaking view of Upsala Glacier’s towering western front, the largest glacier in Los Glaciers National Park. From here, you continue sailing through Cristina Canal where you will disembark at the Estancia Cristina. You will have six hours to enjoy the many activities at Estancia Cristina, including a guided walk to the Caterina River and Chapel. Lunch will be served in the dining hall at the Estancia.

After this excursion, you will return to the Estancia farm house where you will depart at 5:30pm and arrive back at Puerto Bandera at approximately 7:00pm. Return to Calafate and transfer to your hotel. Lunch included.

Optional: You can ride in an all-terrain vehicle or enjoy a trekking excursion filled with marine fossils (at additional cost).

Day 4

Transfer to the airport to take the flight back to Buenos Aires.
