Comfortable cruise up the Mamore River in the Reina de Enin riverboat. We will not only see the wildlife of the Amazon, but also experience the way of life of the native Indians. Activities include walks through the jungle, horseback riding, motorboat excursions, canoe excursions with native guides, visits to the Mocovi Wildlife Reserve, or simply swim, go kayaking, fishing or just relaxing under the sun.
The cruise in the Flotel Reina de Enin is comfortable. Cabins have private bathroom and the cuisine is excellent. Nature activities are part of environmental conservation programs, and cultural activities are focused on experiencing the way of life of the Indian communities of the Mojena and Yurakare tribes. All of these activities revolve around walks through the jungle, horseback riding, motorboat excursions, canoe excursions with native guides, visits to the Mocovi Wildlife Reserve, and leisure activities such as swimming, kayaking, fishing or just relaxing under the sun.
Day 1
Morning flight to Trinidad, the capital of the state of Beni in the Amazon jungle. Beni contains three major South American habitats: the Amazon rainforest, the Chaco woodlands and the Cerrado open pampas. Upon arrival, we will make a brief tour of the city, then transfer to Puerto Barador on the Mamore river (16 kilometers/10 miles) to board the Reina Enin riverboat. Cruise on the Mamore river to San Antonio de Lora (80 kilometers/50 miles south of Trinidad).
Day 2
Visit to San Antonio de Lora, a small and colorful cattle-raising town located on a hill by the Secure River. Four or five hours walk or horse ride to Villa Delfina, a cattle ranch. Then visit Eureka Lake, where we can enjoy excellent fishing and also see the pre-Columbian technology of raised-bed agriculture, created more than 1,000 years ago. The hike continues to the Secure River, where we will again board the Reina Enin riverboat. Lunch and dinner included.
Day 3
Visit to San Antonio de Lora, a small and colorful cattle-raising town located on a hill by the Secure River. Four or five hours walk or horse ride to Villa Delfina, a cattle ranch. Day 4
Arrive in San Bartolo which has beautiful beaches and good fishing. Campfire on the banks of the river. Cruise to Puerto Barador, where, en route, we will take small boat trips for fishing, water skiing, hunting or kayaking. Lunch and dinner included.
Day 5
Transfer from Puerto Barador to the airport in Trinidad.
