Combine the natural splendors of Zambia including Victoria Falls and the South Luangwa National Park. The National Park marks the end of the Great Rift Valley and is one of the last unspoiled wilderness areas in Africa. Victoria Falls is the biggest curtain of falling water in the world, and is also one of the seven natural wonders of the world. In the South Luangwa National Park, you arrive at your lodge and enjoy the afternoon at leisure. In the morning you will enjoy a campfire breakfast, followed by a game drive or safari walk: your choice! On the days following choose an all day picnic drive through the park one day and a community visit for the next day.
In Victoria Falls, you arrive at your lodge and are free to relax. The following day, you will be taken on a tour of the Falls. Victoria Falls is considered the seventh natural wonder of the world and upon seeing it in person, you will know exactly why. You will be accompanied through the rainforest by one of our qualified guides who will give a brief history of the falls themselves as well as detailing the flora, fauna, bird & wildlife and other points of interest. Guides are also happy to assist clients with photographs whilst visiting this most spectacular of waterfalls.

Day 1

Overnight international flight to Lusaka.

Day 2

Arrive at Lusaka International Airport and transfer to your flight from Lusaka to Mfuwe. Arrive at Mfuwe airport, then reception and transfer to lodge of your choice in South Luangwa National Park. Enjoy dinner and the rest of the afternoon at your leisure.

Day 3

At dawn, breakfast is served around a campfire. The porridge heated on the fire and toast cooked by the coals. The morning walk or drive will leave soon after. The game in the area is excellent and includes many family herds of elephants and the endemic species of giraffe, known as the Thornicroft Giraffe. A mid morning break of tea, coffee and cake will be taken at a scenic point on a lagoon or the Luangwa River. Return to camp for lunch around mid day. After lunch you can cool off around camp or siesta. Following tea you will go out on an afternoon game drive that continues into the early night giving the chance to see the nocturnal world, returning to camp about 8:00 PM with dinner generally at 8:30 PM.

Day 4

Today offers a chance to drive or walk through the South Luangwa. You may decide this is an ideal day, depending on the heat and time of year, to explore the park possibly with an all day picnic drive, or you may choose instead to visit one of the local communities. This community tourism initiative is a great opportunity to meet local people and experience life in a real non-tourist village. If you wish to visit the local community it is best to mention this to your travel consultant at the time of booking.

Day 5

Again today you are offered a chance to drive or walk through the South Luangwa. Today may be the ideal day to explore the park with an all day picnic drive or you may choose today to choose the local community instead. If you wish to visit the local community it is best to mention to this to your travel consultant at the time of booking.

Day 6

Breakfast at dawn and then transfer to the airport in Mfuwe early for your flight to Livingstone. Upon arrival at the airport reception and transfer to your hotel in Livingstone. You will have the afternoon at leisure to explore your beautiful surroundings.

Day 7

After breakfast, we set off on a tour of Victoria Falls. Victoria Falls is over 150 million years old. It reaches its zenith in May of each year. It’s a truly awe-inspiring experience; it inspires a humbling feeling that the falls are indeed a natural wonder of the world. This tour is conducted in the morning and afternoon. En route, you may be taken past the ‘Big Tree’ where you may stop and take photos. You will be accompanied through the rainforest by one of our qualified guides who will give a brief history of the falls themselves as well as detailing the flora, fauna, bird & wildlife and other points of interest. Guides are also happy to assist clients with photographs whilst visiting this most spectacular of waterfalls. Raincoats are provided when needed.

Day 8

Early breakfast and then transfer to Livingstone Airport for your flight back to Lusaka, where you will transfer to your international flight back home, or overlap with add-on of your choice.
