Fortaleza is located in the state of Ceara, in the northeast region of Brazil. It is known for its beautiful white sanded beaches and crystal-clear waters. We will also visit Lençóis de Maranhenses. We will sail on rivers and pass dunes, island, visit fishermen villages, enjoy of the beach in the magical scenery.

Day 1

Upon arrival to Fortaleza, transfer to your hotel.

Day 2

After breakfast, transfer to Jericoacoara (4 hours). Upon arrival, check it at your posada. Immediately after, we will see the sunset on a huge dune located at the west side part of the Village. We will see a Capoeira presentation after the sun sets.

Day 3

After breakfast, we will visit the Heart Lagoon at the little village of Jijoca. Later, we will visit the Paradise Lagoon where we will relax, sunbath and swim and get some time to have lunch (not included). Later, we will return to Jericoacoara and then go for a walk (50 min) to “Pedra Furada” (Pierced Rock).

Day 4

In the morning, transfer to Camocin town (1.5 hours). This town enjoy of the dunes and the green sea of Ceará. Later, we will visit Parnaiba (2 hours transfer). On the way there, we will stop so you can get lunch (not included). Arriving at Parnaiba, we will have a tour in the city and then we will go to Porto dos Tatus where we will get a motorboat to Canárias Island. Sailing along the Parnaiba Delta, we will be able to border the dunes and islands. We will stop at the Feijão Bravo Dune for a bath before we continue our trip. There is a possibility to see alligators along our journey. Arrival to the island and check in at Pousada Paraiso das Canárias. The evening is left at leisure.

Day 5

After breakfast, we will aboard our motor boats to Tutóia. We will make some stops on dunes and islands along this 3 hour trip. Upon arrival to Tutóia, we will get some time to eat lunch (not included). After lunch, transfer to Caburé (2 hours). Upon arrival, check-in at Pousada Porto Buriti. The afternoon will be left at leisure to enjoy of the beach or to walk to Ponta da Brasilia to see where the river meets the sea.

Day 6

After breakfast, transfer to Mandacaru, a fishers’ community where the lighthouse give us a great view of the dunes and the river. After lunch (not included), we will the protected area of Pequenos Lençóis and also visit Vassoura, another fishermen area along the river. At the end of the day, we will aboard a boat to Barrerinhas (40 min). Upon arrival, transfer to your posada.

Day 7

After breakfast, we will head to Santo Amaro (3.5 hours). Upon arrival, we leave our luggage at our Posada and go for lunch (included). We will then continue our ride to the sand dunes from where we will start walking to Gaivota Lagoon. We will have time to have a swim at the lagoon and for those who would like to walk there is the possibility to explore the other lagoons in the surrounding. After watching the sunset, we will return to Santo Amaro (20 min).
Note: Optional tour – overflight Lençóis Maranhenses (30 min).

Day 8

After breakfast, we will visit to Lagoons: the Betania and Espigão. Later, we will return to Santo Amaro for lunch (not included). After lunch, we will visit the Sangue Village before we continue to São Luis (4 hours). Overnight in São Luis.

Day 9

After breakfast, historical city tour of São Luis, one of our colonial jewels. Later, we will lunch before we head to the airport to catch our flight.
