Description Pricing Itinerary

This 3-night itinerary will give you a brief flavor for the amazing ecosystem and wildlife of the Galapagos Islands. Aboard the M/V Galapagos Legend we will visit the Cerro Colorado Tortoise Reserve, built to sustain the archipelago’s population of the island’s tortoises; explore South Plaza home to land and marine iguanas; and snorkel off the coast of Santa Fe.

These ship itineraries alternate every two weeks due to Galapagos National Park regulations, Galapagos cruises are not permitted to visit the same island within a two week period. This itinerary is available every two weeks; please check with your Yampu travel consultant for applicable travel dates.

Day 1

Monday
Today we will depart from Ecuador's mainland and arrive at Baltra. Here we will be greeted for airport reception and transferred to the M/V Galapagos Legend.

Bachas Beach, Santa Cruz Island
We make a wet landing on Play de las Bachas located on the northern coastline of Santa Cruz. Here we visit a flamingo lagoon, encounter marine iguanas, various sea birds, and sea turtles. After our exploration we have the opportunity to swim and snorkel from the white sandy beach.

Day 2

Tuesday
Plazas Island
We make a dry landing on the pier of Plaza Sur where we can enjoy the juvenile antics of the sea lions. This island was originally formed by uplifted lava and the terrain includes an impressive cactus forest. On land we will see land iguanas and several species of tropical birds.

Santa Fe Island
We make a wet landing on Santa Fe to visit the cactus forest and a colony of land iguanas that are native to the island. Here we can also see the Galapagos mockingbird, magnificent frigate, brown pelican, and several species of Darwin’s finches.

Day 3

Wednesday
Punta Pitt, San Cristobal Island
This unusual volcanic formation is located in the northeast of San Cristobal Island. Here we are likely to see tiny lava lizards scurrying around the rocks as well as all three species of the Galapagos booby; Nazca, masked, and blue or red-footed boobies.

Cerro Brujo, San Cristobal Island
A dingy ride along the coast of San Cristobal will take us northeast to Cerro Brujo. We make a wet landing onto the island’s white sandy beach which is a great open area popular for bird watching. Frequently seen is the Chatham mocking bird and the Chatham lava lizard, both endemic to the island. Here we have time to snorkel with sea turtles, rays, and sea lions.

Day 4

Thursday
Galapaguera de Cerro Colorado, San Cristobal
On the southeastern part of San Cristobal is the Galapaguera de Cerro Coloardo, a protected dry forest and the breeding grounds of wild tortoises.

This afternoon you will transfer to the San Cristobal airport for your flight back to Ecuador's mainland.

Yampu only offers the Galapagos Legend as an add-on to our highlight programs. If booking alone, booking fees may apply. Prices include flight from Quito to Baltra, and return; 3 nights accommodation aboard the Galapagos Legend; all meals, all tours with a bilingual naturalist guide, and Galapagos National Park fee and Transit Control Card.

Not included are any gratuities, fuel surcharges, and local airport taxes that are payable in the country of destination. Taxes and security fees that can be paid at time of ticketing are already included in the quote (if airfare has been included in the quote).
