Let Yampu guide you to the wonderful and unique regions of Argentina including the Andes, Patagonia, and the Lake District. With this tour you will visit the impressive natural wonder of Iguazu Falls; enjoy a tango show in Buenos Aires; visit the pristine landscape of Argentina’s Lake Region; and explore the magnificent Perito Moreno Glacier in Calafate and visit the town of Chalten, a hiker’s paradise.
Full of modern construction and dynamic activity, Buenos Aires has managed to preserve old traditions and charming corners. One is fascinated by the atmosphere, the individual personality of each of its neighborhoods, the cordiality of its people and the wide selection of its cultural and commercial opportunities. Buenos Aires, close to the splendid countryside surrounding it, is the great cosmopolitan doorway to South America. The Plaza de Mayo is the hub of activity in the city, while nearby Avenida 9 de Julio is popularly known as the world’s widest avenue. Avenida Santa Fe houses the world’s most fashionable boutiques.
The Iguazu Falls and National Park are the largest in the Americas, surrounded by an amazing wildlife preserve in the middle of the jungle. The deep flowing waters of the river fall from a height of thirty feet through almost three hundred falls over two miles.
San Carlos de Bariloche, the capital of the Andean Patagonia and urban center of the Argentine Lake District, is where you may see the volcanoes and lakes in all their splendor with the magnificent Andes towering behind them. In many ways it resembles European alpine resorts, with spectacular surrounding scenery. From here we will take a cruise on the Nahuel Huapi and Frias Lake with amazing views of the lakes and mountains that make Bariloche a famous destination.
The magnificent Perito Moreno Glacier in Calafate is a true ice river 60kms long that drops down to Lake Argentina, and one of only three Patagonian glaciers that are not retreating. We will also explore the northern tip of the Lago Argentino and the Estancia Cristina to see the breathtaking Upsala Glacier, 30km wide and the largest in the Patagonia. This adventure will be completed with an excursion to Chalten, where you will be able to see spectacular mountain scenery, sub-Antartica glaciers and forests. This area is home to the famous Mount Fitz Roy, which you be able to see when you hike to the Laguna de los Tres and Tower Lagoon
