After visiting Lima, Cuzco, and Machu Picchu high in the Andes Mountains, travel to the Amazon to experience an entirely different ecosystem floating down the Amazon River aboard the Delfin I. The Delfin I was fully refurbished in 2010 to create a comfortable and unusual way to experience the Amazon. This luxurious boat accommodates only 8 passengers, allowing for personal service and a truly intimate experience. Comfort and grace combine effortlessly aboard the Delfin I with the wilderness of the Amazon allowing you to embrace the wild from an established level of comfort.

Machu Picchu, the famous mountain top citadel, was known as the ‘Lost City of the Incas’, and was only discovered earlier this century. Standing magically among the clouds, it is complete with palaces, residences and sanctuaries, and surrounded by a sophisticated system of terraces. Program includes a night at the bottom of the ruins. This way you will be able to experience Machu Picchu after most tourists have left in the afternoon train.

Cuzco, the ‘Archeological Capital of the Americas’, was the former capital of the Inca Empire. It is a small city embedded in the Andes range, and a beautiful blend of Inca and Spanish cultures. And Lima, the capital of Peru, is also known as the City of Kings for its wonderful colonial architecture and beauty.

Your Amazon journey begins in Iquitos, where we will pick you up and take you to our vessel. You will experience the ideal combination of natural wonder, dramatic scenery, indigenous cultural history and a relaxed self-contained way to explore the Amazon while sightseeing nature at its best, where flora and fauna are abundant. You are about to explore one of the world’s most intriguing environments. Our skiffs are quick to launch, stable to ride and ready to go anywhere, they seat 8 passengers with their own naturalist guide, and captain.

Recently, following UNESCO recommendations, Peruvian authorities have placed restrictions on the visitation of Machu Picchu, the lost Incan ruins. Currently, no more than 2,500 people daily will be allowed to visit the ruins. While these new restrictions are great for the preservation of the ruins, they may cause some difficulties in your ability to visit them, so we recommend booking with plenty of notice.
