Leaving Botswana, transfer to Cape Town where you will explore the city and its majestic surroundings before embarking on a guided road trip along the captivating Garden Route. The 16,000 square kilometers of wetlands that is the Okavango Delta is the final destination of Africa’s third longest river. It is here that you can stalk herds of elephants, hippos, or buffalos along the shoreline as you drift silently through the reeds upon your guided mokoro (indigenous canoe). A motorboat cruises, nature walks, and game drives are also available, where, each morning, you can track Africa’s most famed animals during their hunt for prey. In this colorful setting thriving within the reaches of the Kalahari Desert, you will experience a part of Africa like no other.

The Moremi Game reserve encompasses the eastern expanses of the Okavango Delta, and therefore provides a stark contrast within its boundaries of dry land that divides and separates its many vast wetlands. The only protected region of the Delta, Moremi is home to some of the most dense wildlife populations in the country, but most notably known for the abundance of large predators, in which you will have the chance to track from water and land based game drives.

Following Victoria Falls, you will fly to Cape Town. Your days here will be spent exploring the culture and history of the city and its surroundings. You will also engage in a full day tour of the Cape Peninsula, which involves stunning views, long golden beaches, the jackass penguin colony, and the Cape of Good Hope – Africa’s most southwestern point. Your final day will be spent in the winelands, north of Cape Town, touring the many vineyards and wineries that are making South African wines some of the most popular in the world.

The Garden Route is recognized for its seemingly never-ending stretch of forests, coastline, beaches, marine life & game reserves as well as the picturesque towns and villages along the way. Beginning in Swellendam, you will then transfer to Plettenberg Bay, where, aside from its dramatic rocky peninsula and sweeping golden beaches, you will experience some of the best dolphin watching in the world, not to mention other activities from surfing and kayaking, to horseback riding. The route will end at Port Elizabeth, where you will join a safari in the Addo Elephant Park.

While on safari in Botswana you will be staying at the luxury Camp Okavango and Camp Moremi. Both camps comprise of private tented structures built upon raised platforms with a viewing deck, lavish furnishings, en-suite bathrooms, and a main communal building, where meals and activities are held.
