The Rissington Inn lies just a few kilometers outside Kruger National Park in the small farming town of Hazyview. Explore the colorful gardens and valley of the 10-acre property to see a variety of bird and game, or just relax by the pool. All 16 rooms have their own entrances and verandahs, ceiling fans and en suite bathrooms. Each is styled differently, reflecting the airy African bush around them. This small, personal, quaint inn is the perfect base for safaris in Sabi Sands Game Reserve.
Hazyview is known for its banana industry and striking panoramic views, with a wide array of shops, restaurants, pubs and adventure activities. Explore the town or drive the famous Panorama Route through stunning mountains ranges, past scenic canyons, waterfalls and historic towns.
Travel from Hazyview to the Sabi Sands Game Reserve daily to join morning and evening game drives. The Sabi Sands Game Reserve is a 65 000 hectare (160,618 acre) wildlife sanctuary and enjoys one of the most bio-diverse wildlife populations in Africa. Named after its two life giving rivers – the Sabi and the Sand. This reserve is the birthplace of sustainable wildlife tourism in Southern Africa and is the oldest of all the private reserves in South Africa. It has only ever been a wilderness area and is home to a vast wildlife population, including The Big Five, and a number of endangered species as well. Flanking the Kruger National Park, animals pass unhindered between the reserves.

Day 1
Flight from Cape Town to Kruger Mpumalunga airport. Upon arrival, reception and transfer to your game lodge. Enjoy the rest of the day at leisure.
Day 2
First Day on Safari:
Open safari vehicles with seating for between 6 and 12 visitors head out into the wild under the expert guidance of experienced rangers and insightful trackers.
Guests are able to get in close contact with Africa's most exciting wildlife species and are presented with unparalleled photographic opportunities.
Early morning game drive heads out as the sun rises and as the bush stirs to life. The ranger and tracker teams search for animals by tracking their spoor and by listening for the tell-tale signs of activity.
The middle of the day is free to relax at the hotel, explore the town or to take an optional tour of Blyde River Canyon, the restored gold rush town of Pilgrim's Rest, Sunwala and Echo Caves or banana, mango, coffee or silkworm farms.
Late afternoon game drive commences as the sun burns its way towards the horizon. The animals are now getting more active, many preparing for the great hunt after dark. After sundowners, the drive continues with the aid of powerful spotlights which reveal nocturnal species in another world.
On average, approximately 6 hours of game drives per day.
Day 3
Another Safari day starting with morning game drive, followed by free time and late afternoon game drive. Each day will differ in the animals that may be near or ask your tracker to search out animals which you may have not seen yet.
Day 4
Last Safari day and last chance to see these remarkable animals in the wild. One never knows what amazing moment they will witness.
Day 5
After your morning activity and breakfast you will be transferred to the airport for your flight to Cape Town, or continue with the Yampu Tours add-on of your choice.

- Big Five animals (lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo and rhino) may be viewed all year round.

- While most of South Africa is malaria-free, malaria risk exists throughout the year in rural low-altitude areas of Limpopo and Mpumalanga provinces, including Kruger National Park and neighboring game reserves. Risk also exists in the coastal lowlands of KwaZulu-Natal north of the Tugela River (including in Zululand, but excluding urban areas of Richards Bay). In all risk areas, risk is much lower from June to September.
