The Sea Man II Catamaran is a new vessel that just completed her first cruise in December 2007. She offers modern comforts in this pre-historic-like location. You will enjoy snorkelling, kayaking & simply relaxing as you take in the sights of the Galapagos onboard this amazing vessel.

She has 9 large, beautiful and comfortable double cabins; all with outside views, private bathroom, cold/hot water, locker and closet, comfortable dining room, two bars and a lounge, library, full air conditioning with control in each cabin, TV, DVD, stereo, first aid, ice maker, water purifier, observation deck and spacious sundeck with chairs for sleeping and relaxing.

Day 1

Monday
San Cristobal Island
Fly from mainland Ecuador (Quito or Guayaquil) arriving into the tiny Puerto Baquerizo Moreno airport. Our guide is waiting at the airport to escort you to your anchored yacht.

Kicker Rock (Leon Dormido)
This afternoon we cruise around this vertical tuff cone formation that abruptly juts up out of the ocean. On the cliffs, we find blue-footed boobies, masked boobies and magnificent frigate birds.

Day 2

Tuesday
Punta Suarez, Espańola Island
This morning we make a dry landing at Punta Suarez and walk along lava beds where we will observe unique colonies of marine birds, including Albatross (May - December). We return to the Yacht and sail to Gardner Bay with lunch being served as we travel.

Gardner Bay, Espańola Island
After lunch & a siesta, we make a wet landing on Gardner Bay. Here we enjoy a relaxing stroll along the white sand beach, dotted with sleeping sea lions. We then take a dingy ride around the islets of Gardner and Tortuga where we will have time for an optional swim or snorkel. This evening we return to the Yacht for dinner and our nightly orientation.

Day 3

Wednesday
Devil's Crown, Floreana (Santa Maria) Island
This islet consists of an eroded volcanic crater, which owes its present from to the strong wave action. The interior is excellent for snorkeling. It is very important to note that snorkeling is subject to good weather conditions.

Post Office Bay, Floreana (Santa Maria) Island
Historically, this site is the location of a wooden barrel that was placed in the 18th century by the crew of a whaling ship. It has been used since this time by mariners and tourists as a post office. The idea is to carry letters or postcards to their destination by hand. Apart from being the Post Office Barrel, this site was the landing area for some of the first colonists.

Day 4

Thursday
Charles Darwin Research Center, Santa Cruz
We visit the tortoise corals and the breeding center with the miniature tortoises. You will also get a chance to now see the pen of Lonesome George, the last surviving member of the Pinta Island subspecies. We will have time to enjoy the small town of Puerto Ayora where we can buy souvenirs, check emails at an internet café or just relax with a cold drink.

Highlands, Santa Cruz
This afternoon we will relax on a bus ride up to the highlands of Santa Cruz Island for a visit to the native forests and twin craters. We will see a drastic change of scenery as we ascend to the green, lush areas on the highest points of the island. You'll return to the boat this evening for a relaxing dinner.

Day 5

Friday
Punta Moreno, Isabela
This morning we will have a dry landing on Urbina Bay for a medium-length walk to observe unusual lava flows and small lagoons. We will also enjoy a dinghy ride to observe birds & marine iguanas.

Elizabeth Bay, Isabela
We explore this beautiful bay by dinghy as Galapagos Hawks soar overhead and schools of Pompanos and Dorados can be seen swimming underneath the boat. The ride continues into a red mangrove cove. The dinghy passes through the red root and green leaf breeding ground for fish and Sea Turtles. Brown Pelicans, Flightless Cormorants, Spotted Eagle Rays, Golden Rays and Sea Lions are often seen. This evening we enjoy a relaxing dinner & orientation.

Day 6

Saturday
Urbina Bay, Isabela
This morning, after breakfast, we will have a wet landing for a walk to see giant tortoises and land iguanas. After this, depending on weather & water conditions, we may have an opportunity to snorkel or swim.

Punta Espinoza, Fernandina
This afternoon we will have a dry landing on the youngest island, Fernandina. Be sure to wear good walking shoes, because we will enjoy a slow-paced, one-mile walk over varied lava terrain. Having no introduced mammals, Fernandina has a very unique environment with the highest density of marine iguanas, sharing their island habitat with sea lions, sally-light foot crabs, and hawks. We will return to the boat for a relaxing evening of dinner and our orientation.

Day 7

Sunday
Bartolomé Island
This morning we make a dry landing and walk to the top of Bartolomé Island in order to see the most famous Galapagos vista; Pinnacle Rock & Santiago Island. After getting back on the dingy, we ride around Pinnacle Rock where will get our first glimpse of the small Galapagos penguins. There will be time for an optional swim or snorkel before we return to the Yacht for lunch.

North Seymour Island
This afternoon we have a dry landing for a view of the coast and the interior of North Seymour Island, one of the few uplifted islands in Galápagos Archipelago. The trail leads guests to explore colonies of blue footed boobies, Magnificent frigate birds, and swallow-tail gulls. The sandy shore teems with Galápagos sea lions and marine iguanas. Vegetation is made up of cacti, Palo Santo trees and Salt Bushes.

Day 8

Monday
San Cristobal
This morning, we visit the Puerto Baquerizo Moreno Interpretation Center. Here we spend our last morning in the islands reviewing the natural and human history of the Islands. We return to the airport for our flight back to Quito or Guayaquil.

Prices per person based on double occupancy. Prices include air transportation from Quito or Guayaquil to Galapagos return, 7 nights accommodation on the Sea Man II Catamaran including all meals, transfers, bilingual naturalist guide, and planned tours. Also included are the $100 Galapagos Park fee and $10 Transit Control Card fee.
Gratuities, fuel surcharges and local airport taxes that are payable in the country of destination are not included. Taxes and security fees that can be paid at time of ticketing are already included in the quote (if airfare has been included in the quote).
