Las Leńas is one of the most respected ski resorts in Argentina due to its unbeatable snow quality and terrain for all levels. Located near the capital city of Mendoza, it is also the highest resort with a 1,200-meter vertical drop between the 3,430-meter-high summit and the 2,240-meter-high base. These altitudes create a paradise for extreme skiing and beginner and intermediate skiers alike. Las Leńas features more than sixty kilometers of runs for skiers and snowboarders with various difficulties and Nordic ski trails as well.
As a result of the dry weather, the 230 hectares of skiable surface has internationally recognized snow quality. There is a slalom stadium and 27 authorized runs with a maximum skiable length of 7,050 meters, which includes one of the longest intermediate-level runs in the world. Reached by 13 lifts and, if the weather conditions do not contribute the necessary amount of snow, Las Leńas has a modern system to make artificial snow.
Las Leńas features more than sixty kilometers of runs for skiers and snowboarders with descents of varying difficulties suitable for skiers and riders of all abilities, from a height of 11,253 feet above sea level to the base at at elevation of 7,349 feet. Built in 1983, Las Lenas has the the most modern lift system in South America. There are few lift lines at Las Lenas, because the mountain has 16 modern ski lifts taking as many as 9,200 skiers per hour up the hill. The ski lifts are named after Roman and Greek gods: Venus, Eros, Minerva, Vesta, Vulcano, Jupiter, Apolo, Neptuno, Mercurio, Caris, Selene, Juno, Iris, Marte, Urano and Cenidor.
