The most mega diverse region in the entire Amazon may be the Tamshiyacu-Tahuayo area. This magnificent reserve covers an expanded area of precious ecologically diverse western Amazon rainforest. Biologists refer to this region as the “green paradise” of the Amazon Forest. Thought to be a zone that remained forested during the last ice age, many species have been found here which exist nowhere else in the world. This is your opportunity to get in contact with one of the richest areas of plants, amphibians, reptiles and birds; an unforgettable experience!
These trips are not only recommended for scientists, ecologists or educators but also to bird watchers, butterfly watcher and nature lovers in general. This lodge specializes in personalized day to day activities based on the client’s interests. This is ideal for people who do not want to be stuck with a large group on a pre-set itinerary. You can choose a photographer’s pace, a soft pace or a ruggedly adventurous pace. You can concentrate more on birdwatching, canoeing, canopy exploration, fishing or native culture. Families can have a private guide who specializes in working with pre-teens or young teens.
