Within minutes of landing at the small island airport on Baltra you will begin to realize why the Galapagos are called the Enchanted Isles. The slow, lumbering movement of the marine iguanas and the playfulness of the sea lions will capture places in your memory that will remain with you for years to come. Day 1

Friday

Fly from mainland Ecuador (Quito or Guayaquil) arriving in Baltra at approximately 12:00 pm. Our guide will meet us at the airport to accompany us to the yacht.

Bachas Beach, Santa Cruz Island
Wet landing on Playa de Las Bachas, located on the northern coastline of Santa Cruz Island. Here we will visit a Flamingo lagoon, encounter marine iguanas, various sea birds and maybe even sea turtles, as well as have the opportunity to swim and snorkel from this white sand beach.

Day 2

Saturday
Rŕbida
After breakfast, we make a wet landing on the beach of Rŕbida. Here we take a walk to the Flamingo Lagoon of this island. Before lunch we have time for an optional swim and/or snorkel.

Bartolomé
After lunch, the Yacht sails to the Island of Bartolomé. This afternoon we make a dry landing and walk to the top of the island in order to see the most famous Galapagos vista; Pinnacle Rock & Santiago Island. After getting back on the dingy, we ride around Pinnacle Rock where will get our first glimpse of the small Galapagos penguins. There will be time for an optional swim or snorkel before we return to the Yacht for dinner and our nightly orientation.

Day 3

Sunday
Dawin Bay, Genovesa (Tower)
After breakfast, we make a wet landing on Darwin Bay where we will observe the many colonies of birds. Before lunch, we have time for an optional swim or snorkel.

Prince Philip's Steps (Barranco), Genovesa (Tower)
Later in the afternoon we take a dingy ride and make a dry landing on Prince Philip's Steps where will we enjoy a leisurely walk to observe the interesting lives of the birds here. We end the day with our orientation meeting & dinner on the Yacht.

Day 4

Monday
Highlands of Santa Cruz Island
We disembark and, board a bus, which takes us to the highlands of Santa Cruz Island for a visit to the native forests, and twin craters. We have the opportunity to view the islands’ most famous reptile: the giant tortoises in their wild habitat.

Charles Darwin Station, Santa Cruz Island
This afternoon we visit the Charles Darwin Station and its interpretive center. Here we witness the efforts and results of all the field work done in the name of science. Impressive giant prickly-pear cactus forest and many land birds can be also seen. Then, a stroll along the main street of Puerto Ayora and browse in the many handcraft shops.

Day 5

Tuesday
Plazas Island
After breakfast we make a dry landing on the pier of the Island of Plaza Sur where we can enjoy the antics of the sea lions. A walk through a cactus forest allows us to observe land iguanas and a great many species of tropical birds. Return to the Yacht for lunch as we begin to sail to Santa Fé Island .

Santa Fé
This afternoon we make a wet landing on the Island to visit the cactus forest and a colony of land iguanas native to Santa Fé . At the end of the afternoon, we return to the Yacht for dinner and our nightly orientation.

Day 6

Wednesday
Gardner Bay, Espańola Island
After breakfast, we make an early wet landing on Gardner Bay. Here we enjoy a relaxing stroll along the white sand beach, dotted with sleeping sea lions. We then take a dingy ride around the islets of Gardner and Tortuga where we will have time for an optional swim or snorkel. We return to the Yacht and sail to Punta Suarez with lunch being served as we travel.

Punta Suarez, Espańola Island
In the afternoon we make a dry landing at Punta Suarez and walk along lava beds where we will observe unique colonies of marine birds, including Albatross (May - December). This evening we return to the Yacht for dinner and our nightly orientation.

Day 7

Thursday
Post Office Bay, Floreana
After breakfast, we make an early wet landing at Post Office Bay where we will visit the oldest postal system in the world; getting a chance to mail a letter to friends around the world.

Punta Cormorant, Floreana
This afternoon we make a wet landing on Punta Cormorant and take a short walk to the Flamingo Lagoon. We continue the walk until we reach the beach called "La Picona" to see marine turtles and their spawning grounds. After we make our way back to the landing point, we have time for a dingy ride and optional snorkeling before we return to the Yacht for dinner.

Day 8

Friday
Today we return to the Baltra airport to board our flight back to the mainland.

Prices listed are per person. Prices include air transportation from Quito or Guayaquil to Galapagos return, 7 nights accommodation on the Tip Top II or Tip Top III including all meals, transfers, bilingual naturalist guide, and planned tours. Not included is a $100 fee to be paid to the park as a contribution to its conservation and a $10 Transit Control Card fee which must be paid in cash upon arrival in Galapagos. Local airport taxes that are payable in the country of destination are not included. Taxes and security fees that can be paid at time of ticketing are already included in the quote (if airfare has been included in the quote).
