Unique Patagonia: Horseback Riding and Trekking through the Glaciers
Let Yampu lead you to the remote regions of Argentina’s Patagonia. With this program you will explore the remote corners of the Estancia Nibepo Aike and Los Glaciares National Park on horseback, places where vehicles cannot reach. This unique program allows you to enjoy the pristine nature of the Andean woodland, crystal clear lakes, high mountains, and impressive glaciers.
Blend in with one of the world’s most remote and impressive landscapes, Patagonia. Traveling by horseback, you will view the region much as the pioneers and adventures did in the past. During your trip two nights will be spent in a typical outpost where local rangers still stay in order to work with the livestock. This outpost is also a refuge for mountain climbers stopping for a rest between glaciers.
Estancia Nibepo Aike, located within Los Glaciers National Park, retains the essence of the old Patagonian estancias. Formerly devote to sheep rearing, the estancia now maintains a small flock of sheep with its main production being the breeding of Hereford cattle.
