One of the greatest “natural wonders”, the Uyuni salt flats are the biggest salts lakes in the world. 12,000 sq km of salt at an elevation of 12,000 ft, create a truly unforgettable experience as the flats reflect the sapphire-blue Altiplano sky. Depart La Paz through the Quillacas highlands to Tahua. The following day, start with a hike outside Chillima and Pucara. Visit Camapana Island, the salt flats in Malamala and continue through the highlands in San Pedro de Quemez. After San Pedro de Quemez, visit the old stone towns of Quemado and Refugio, continue to Colchani to witness local salt production. Finish your journey through Oruro and Uyuni to La Paz.
