Visit the diversity of Africa in only one week. This tour begins at the Lower Zambezi, a private reserve of Zambia’s president up until the early 1980s when it was declared a national park; today the park is considered an unspoiled wilderness. This tour also includes Victoria Falls, a highlight of Zambia. Also known as “Mosi oa-Tunya” (the smoke that thunders) Victoria Falls is the biggest curtain of falling water in the world and also one of the seven natural wonders of the world.

In the Lower Zambezi National Park, you arrive at your lodge and are given a variety of options for your first afternoon in Zambia. You may choose to go on a game drive, safari walk, boat cruise, or you may choose to go canoeing or fishing. These activities are extremely flexible, so choosing which activity to participate in and when is completely up to you!

In Victoria Falls, you arrive at your lodge and are free to relax. The following day, you will be taken on a tour of the Falls. Victoria Falls is considered the seventh natural wonder of the world and upon seeing it in person, you will know exactly why. You will be accompanied through the rainforest by one of our qualified guides who will give a brief history of the falls themselves as well as detailing the flora, fauna, bird & wildlife and other points of interest. Guides are also happy to assist clients with photographs whilst visiting this most spectacular of waterfalls.

Day 1

Overnight international flight to Lusaka.

Day 2

Arrive at Lusaka International Airport and transfer to your flight from Lusaka to Royal. Upon arrival at the airport reception and transfer to your hotel in Lower Zambezi. As you fly into the area, you will see the wide Zambezi River, flecked with islands. Buffalo and elephant are always seen feeding along with the pods of hippos that rest on the edge of the sandbanks. Activities are extremely flexible and with individuals choosing from drives, walks, boat cruises, canoeing and fishing. Game viewing in the pristine Lower Zambezi National Park is superb and big game, such as elephant, hippo, buffalo and the big cats are even seen regularly in and around the camp! You will have the afternoon at leisure to explore your beautiful surroundings. Depending on your arrival after a late lunch there will be a chance for an afternoon activity – be it on the river or by vehicle.

Day 3

Today you may choose an activity of your choice to engage in for the day. There are various activities to choose from. Not only on offer are exciting day and night drives and bush walks, but guests can choose their own itinerary for the day from a selection of canoe trips, river safaris on safe, stable pontoon boats and catch & release angling for the infamous tiger fish.

Day 4

Enjoy another full day of activities, or spend the day at your leisure.

Day 5

Breakfast early. Transfer from your lodge to Royal Zambezi Airstrip for your flight to Livingstone. Upon arrival at the airport reception and transfer to your hotel in Livingstone. You will have the day at leisure to explore your beautiful surroundings.

Day 6

After breakfast, we set off on a tour of Victoria Falls. Victoria Falls is over 150 million years old. It reaches its zenith in May of each year. It’s a truly awe-inspiring experience; it inspires a humbling feeling that the falls are indeed a natural wonder of the world. This tour is conducted in the morning and afternoon. En route, you may be taken past the ‘Big Tree’ where you may stop and take photos. You will be accompanied through the rainforest by one of our qualified guides who will give a brief history of the falls themselves as well as detailing the flora, fauna, bird & wildlife and other points of interest. Guides are also happy to assist clients with photographs whilst visiting this most spectacular of waterfalls. Raincoats are provided if necessary.

Day 7

Early breakfast and then transfer to Livingstone Airport for your flight back to Lusaka, where you will transfer to your international flight back home, or overlap with add-on of your choice.
