Bolivia is a traditional country with plenty of history and beautiful colonial architecture. You may visit the cities of Sucre and Potosí, a 16th-century silver mining city which has retained much of its colonial architecture with splendid churches and the famous Mint House; or the Jesuit Missions near Santa Cruz, or the Uyuni Salt Flats, one of the “wonders” of the world. We also have a five-day circuit that goes to the Jesuit missions in San Javier, Concepcion, Santa Ana, San Rafael and San Ignacio, located in the immense and beautiful prairies of Chiquitania in the Amazon jungle.

Sucre and Potosi

Sucre, the official capital of Bolivia, is located in a pleasant lower valley with lots of colonial legacy. Potosi, a 16th Century silver mining city, retains much of its colonial architecture with splendid churches and the famous Mint House, with wonderful exhibits of silver and gold coining and colonial paintings. Nearby we find the famous "Cerro Rico de Potosi", the richest Silver Mountain. Potosi was declared a "Patrimony of Humanity" by the United Nations.
