Argentina
Argentina, the second-largest country in South America (next to Brazil) is called the “Land of Silver". Its diverse geography includes the fertile plains of the Pampas, the oil-rich plateau of Patagonia, Tierra del Fuego, the subtropical flats of the Gran Chaco and the rugged Andes Mountains along its western border with Chile. Buenos Aires, the capital, is one of the busiest and most elegant cities in the world. It is said to be the essence of all that is Argentina.
Yampu’s Argentina Highlight tours include the destinations you should not miss: Buenos Aires, Patagonia, Bariloche in the Lake District, Iguazu Falls, Mendoza (the center of Argentina’s wine industry), Salta and Aconcagua (highest mountain in the Western Hemisphere) You may then choose from a wide variety of side trips to fit your specific interests. Since most Yampu tours do not have set dates of departure, they are subject to availability. This allows you to choose your own dates of travel.

Sorry for the delay but time has been tight since our return. No need to worry though, we had a great time. Buenos Aires was great – very sophisticated and reminded us of Paris a bit. Tours were very good and the guide was pleasant and informative. Tango Rojo show was just wonderful – skilful, creative and a great spectacle. San Telmo Flea Market was fine El Ombú de Areco was fun. The Estancia was very basic (no air con), but colorful and fun. Barbeque lunches were good and there were nice snacks and drinks all day on demand, but breakfast and supper were OK. Staff were very nice and helpful and the horse riding was brilliant apart from the huge numbers of mosquitoes!. Iguazu was just amazing – worth the whole trip on its own. Fantastic views both sides, good hotel etc Rio de Janeiro was great – not as refined as Buenos Aires but just the buzz was brilliant. Corcovado and Sugar Loaf were spectacular. Champions parade inside the Rio Sambadrome was just amazing - not to be missed. All the hotels were fine, but to be honest did not spend much time there. So all together a great success and would recommend to our friends. |
