Nicaragua
Nicaragua, the largest—but least densely populated—country of Central America, is known as the land of lakes and volcanoes. Almost 20 of Nicaragua is designated as protected areas such as national parks, nature reserves and biological reserves. It is the home to Granada (founded in 1524) and León, two of the oldest cities in Central and South America. Lake Nicaragua is the largest freshwater lake in Central America and is home to the world’s only freshwater sharks.
Yampu’s basic tours in Nicaragua are the Nicaragua Highlights Tours. They include visits to Granada and León, and other beautiful places in the Pacific lowlands, central highlands and Atlantic lowlands. It is a popular place for birdwatchers; some of the birds found in Nicaragua include quetzals, goldfinches, hummingbirds, jays and toucans. These tours do not have set dates of departure, and are only subject to availability. This permits you to choose your own dates of travel.

I just wanted to thank you for our wonderful vacation. We both had a fabulous time! Machu Picchu was awesome, and we really appreciated the whole "ecolodge" experience in Nicaragua. Thanks again, and we will certainly use you for our next South American vacation. |
