The Anahi (also known as the Journey I) is a Power Catamaran boat built in Guayaquil, Ecuador in 2006 at a high standard level of comfort. You will quickly glide between the islands in complete comfort while aboard this sleek vessel.

Day 1

Tuesday
Fly from mainland Ecuador (Quito or Guayaquil) into Baltra. Your guide will greet you & take you to the bus for a short ride to the Itibaca canal where you will take a short ferry ride to Santa Cruz Island. From here we take a bus to the highlands of Santa Cruz Island for a visit to the native forests, and twin craters. We have the opportunity to view the islands’ most famous reptile: the giant tortoises in their wild habitat. We also get the opportunity to visit one of the Island’s lava tunnels.

Charles Darwin Research Center, Santa Cruz Island
This afternoon we visit the Charles Darwin Station and its interpretive center. Here we witness the efforts and results of all the field work done in the name of science. Impressive giant prickly-pear cactus forest and many land birds can be also seen. Then, a stroll along the main street of Puerto Ayora and browse in the many handcraft shops. We board the Anahi this afternoon & get settled into our cabins.

Day 2

Wednesday
Sombrero Chino Island
This tiny island gets its name from its appearance, which is that of a Chinese hat. We will have a wet landing on a beach that is home to a small sea lion colony. We'll be on the lookout for a glimpse of American oystercatchers in action, along with marine iguanas, lava lizards and Sally Lightfoot crabs.

Puerto Egas, Santiago (James) Island
We make a wet landing to visit Puerto Egas and walk to grottos where we can see colonies of Fur seals. This is a great location to see shore birds, while land birds can be observed a little more inland. At low tide, marine iguanas graze on the green algae beds. We will have an opportunity to snorkel and swim from the beach.

Day 3

Thursday
Sullivan Bay, Santiago (James) Island
This morning we snorkel & swim in the shadow of Pinnacle Rock as we look for the tiny Galapagos Penguins darting past us and enjoy the colors of the starfish below us.

Bartolomé Island
This afternoon we make a dry landing and walk to the top of the island in order to see the most famous Galapagos vista; Pinnacle Rock & Santiago Island. This is a steep climb aided by a wooden staircase but the view from the top is worth the effort. After getting back on the dingy, we ride around Pinnacle Rock where will glimpse the small Galapagos penguins.

Day 4

Friday
Bachas Beach, Santa Cruz Island
Wet landing on Playa de Las Bachas, , located on the northern coastline of Santa Cruz Island. Here we will visit a Flamingo lagoon. After this exploration, we return to Baltra airport to board our flight back to the mainland.

Prices per person based on double occupancy. Prices include air transportation from Quito or Guayaquil to Galapagos return, 3 nights cabin on the Anahi including all meals, transfers, bilingual naturalist guide, planned tours, and fuel surcharge. Also included are the $100 Galapagos Park fee and $10 Transit Control Card fee.
Gratuities, fuel surcharges and local airport taxes that are payable in the country of destination are not included. Taxes and security fees that can be paid at time of ticketing are already included in the quote (if airfare has been included in the quote).
