The Araras Ranch Eco Lodge is located in the Pantanal, or Wetlands, arguably the best place to see wild life in Brazil. The Pantanal is the largest contiguous wetland on the planet and was declared a World Heritage Site and Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO. Here theere are near 700 bird species, making it a paradise for ornithologists and bird watchers. The fauna is completed by caimans, deer, capybara (the world’s largest rodents), anteaters, porcupines, cranes, jaguars and monkeys.
