Conversely, the dry season creates immense floods within the Okavango Delta, thus transforming dry grasslands into the lush blue and green floodplains that make it so beautiful. As a result, large herds of animals migrate from the dry interior of Botswana to congregate around the water sources of the Delta, consequently attracting the larger predators as well. Moreover, the weather is most favorable at this time of the year with warm sunny days, cool nights, and virtually no rain.

On the other hand, the Kalahari will offer peak wildlife viewing for travelers who choose to explore Botswana during the rainy season, from December through April.
