This tour also includes Buenos Aires, where you will visit a typical estancia and attend a lively tango show.

The Iguazu Falls and National Park are the largest in the Americas, surrounded by an amazing wildlife preserve in the middle of the jungle. The deep flowing waters of the river fall from a height of thirty feet through almost three hundred falls over two miles.

Visit the historic and artistic Spanish colonial cities of Salta and Jujuy. Meander in Indian towns such as Cachi, Purmamarca, Uquia, and Humahuaca, and see the fortress ruins in Tilcara. Take in the breathtaking beauty of this region when visiting the colorful Quebrada de Humahuaca and the Humahuaca Gorge. You may also choose to go wine- tasting or take the fantastic Safari to the Clouds.

Currently the direct flight from Iguazu to Salta operates only on Monday, Wednesday and Friday so ideal days to start this trip is Monday. This can be modified to suit your schedule by rearranging the itinerary or adding an extra night in Buenos Aires or Iguazu. This trip can be customized to fit your individual travel dates and any specific requests you may have. Your travel consultant will prepare a customized itinerary for you. We offer a choice of 3, 4, 5-star and deluxe hotels. The Deluxe option is with the Alvear Palace or Four Seasons in Buenos Aires, and the Iguazu Grand or Sheraton with a room with a view to the falls in Iguazu.

Day 1

Take the overnight flight to Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Day 2

Arrive in Buenos Aires, and transfer to your hotel. Afternoon city tour of Buenos Aires, an impressive city that combines the atmosphere of an old European town with the features of a Latin American capital. In this tour, you will acquire a deep understanding of its characteristics, its history, its architecture, its culture and its best stories. We will visit the center of the city, San Telmo, La Boca, Puerto Madero and Palermo, with stops in Plaza de Mayo, Caminito and La Recoleta.
Note: check-in is normally after 2 pm. Early check-in may be granted subject to availability (not confirmed). Also, tour is done on group basis and may involve wait times picking up other passengers at different hotels. We recommend that this tour be done privately in order to avoid this, at an additional cost of $ 42 per person, based on two people ($ 84 based on one person).

Day 3

Fiesta Gaucha Full-day excursion to an estancia for a typical barbeque lunch and a folklore/gaucho show. Here we will learn about the customs of the Argentinean gauchos and their abilities on horseback that will leave you breathless. The meat will be cooked a lo gaucho outdoors on the barbeque. Lunch and drinks included. Afternoon return to Buenos Aires. Duration: 6 hours. Operates every day except Monday.

Day 4

Day at leisure in Buenos Aires Evening tango show At night, you will see an unforgettable tango show performed by the best dancers and singers while enjoying a delicious meal at Esquina Carlos Gardel. This world-famous tango show features the glamour of the 1930s in a romantic and intimate setting. This is the perfect way to leave Buenos Aires, the city of tango. Three-course dinner and Argentinean wine included.

Day 5

Morning, transfer to the airport to take the flight to Puerto Iguazu. Reception at Puerto Iguazu airport and transfer to your hotel. Afternoon at leisure or choose from optional tours below. Afternoon optional tour to the Brazilian side of the falls (additional charge per person; visa is required for American and Canadian citizens).

Day 6

Morning guided tour to the Argentinean side of the waterfalls. Pick-up at your hotel and transfer to visitor center inside Iguazu National Park. To get from the visitor center to the beginning of upper path, lower path and Devil's Throat, you will aboard a little train that runs from the visitor center to the paths and between each one of them. You may also walk from the visitor center to upper and lower paths, but you cannot walk to Devil's Throat because it is located more than 4 kilometers from the visitor center. Great Adventure: This tour combines a jungle trip with a boat trip to the falls. Trip starts in the jungle of the National Park in 4 by 4 trucks without roof for best visibility of the trees and to take good photos. Then we take a zodiac boat to the lower Iguazu River upstream to discover the falls little by little with a panoramic view of the Iguazu Falls. Be prepared to get wet under the falls! Afternoon return to your hotel. Note: this boat tour involves some light trekking and climbing of steep stairs. You need to be in reasonably good shape since it can become somewhat strenuous. Please ask your travel consultant about this.

Day 7

Transfer to the airport to take your direct flight to Salta. Upon arrival transfer to your hotel. Tour of Salta, a charming colonial city with many historic and artistic treasures, and a picturesque old-fashioned atmosphere. There is an interesting combination of relics from the Spanish colonial period and the traditions of the indigenous people which are very much alive today. Note: Direct flight from Iguazu to Salta operates on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

Day 8

Full-day tour to Cafayate, passing through many old towns to find ourselves in the impressive Las Conchas Gorge, more than 80 kilometers of magnificent colorful mountains. After lunch, we will return to Salta.

Day 9

Enjoy the drive to Jujuy, where we will see a beautiful gilded pulpit, a masterpiece of art from the colonial period. We will then visit the famous and picturesque Quebrada de Humahuaca, where we can take pleasure in the breathtaking beauty of this region. We will stop at various villages along the way, including Purmanarca, Uquia and Humahuaca, and walk through their quaint streets and native markets. We will return by the ancient town of Tilcara, where we can see various pre-Inca ruins. Lunch included.

Day 10

Transfer to the airport to take the flight to Buenos Aires.
