Description Pricing Itinerary Hotels

Part of the Paraguaná Peninsula and set in the western region of the country, Coro is full of century-old towns and seaside “pueblitos” surrounded by natural monuments and national parks, such as Los Médanos and Morrocoy.

On your first day, you’ll tour the colonial center and see the cathedral; Museo Diocesano; Plaza La Cruz de San Clemente; Casa de las 100 Ventanas; Casa de las Ventanas de Hierro; and the Museo de Arte Coro, a contemporary art museum. Then on your second day, you’ll head to the Paraguaná Peninsula, where you’ll explore Médanos de Coro; vast, ochre sand dunes; Santa Ana church; and the seaside town of Adícora.

The only trouble with Coro is that it’s the sort of city that you won’t want to leave.

Yampu offers accommodation at Granja El Ojito, just forty minutes away from the town of Coro (known for its quaint, pastel-colored, colonial houses. El Ojito’s landscape is what sets it apart though: It is surrounded by a forty-hectare coconut plantation, and if you cross the plantation, you’ll end up on Bahía de Tocópero—an unspoiled beach.
