The city of Salta is known for its history and colonial architecture. This is a region where Indian folklore, traditions and art mix with Spanish cultural heritage. The area is also known for its amazing landscapes, quaint colonial towns and its famous wineries in the Calchaquí valleys. We offer two winery programs with overnight stay at the wineries’ lodges including the Estancia Colome, the oldest working winery in Argentina.

Day 1
Upon arrival at Salta airport, private transfer to your hotel. Afternoon tour of Salta, a charming colonial city full of historic and artistic treasures, and a picturesque old-fashioned atmosphere. There is an interesting combination of relics from the Spanish colonial period and the native traditions of the indigenous people which are very much alive today.
Day 2
Private tour to the Calchaquí valleys. First we head toward Cafayate, passing through many old towns to find ourselves in the impressive Gorge of Las Conchas, more than 80 kilometers of magnificent colorful mountains. After lunch in Cafayate, we will enjoy a wine-tasting in a nearby winery. Transfer to the Estancia Colomé, the oldest working winery in Argentina. Junior suite accommodation; all meals included.
Day 3
Full day at Estancia Colomé. It is possible to enjoy a tour of the winery as well as horse-back riding. Overnight at Estancia Colomé. Junior suite accommodation; all meals included.
Day 4
Full-day excursion to Cachi, a charming town which faces a spectacular cactus-covered plateau with magnificent snow-covered mountains in the background. We will make a visit to the archeological museum and the small church. In the afternoon, we will head back to Salta driving up to the Cuesta del Obispo, a mountain pass 3,400 feet above sea level. Upon arrival in Salta, transfer to your hotel.
Day 5
Private transfer to Salta airport to take the flight to Buenos Aires.
