This excursion will take us to the Marcahuasi Plateau on the Andean Sierra that is world-known for its frequent UFO sightings. Also on the plateau, there are dozens of different rocks in various different shapes and sizes. There is no explanation as to their origin. The plateau is divided in two circuits: the Humanity Circuit, with rocks in the shapes of human beings (including an astronaut and a pilot driving a plane), and the Treasure Circuit, with rocks in the shapes of animals and temples. Shapes of animals include a lizard, a turtle, and an elephant, and temples include an altar and an amphitheater. The plateau and the Cachu Cachu Lake are also known for their healing powers.
Day 1
Lima-San Pedro de Casta-Marcahuasi
Very early in the morning, pick-up at the hotel; depart from Lima by private bus toward the Andean village of San Pedro de Casta (90 kilometers, four hours). Brief rest upon arrival and wander around the village. Walking trip up to the sacred altar of Marcahuasi Plateau, or if you prefer you may ride on horseback. Arrive at campsite, next to Dr. Russo’s Cabins.
Welcome, with hot drink (typical mate de coca); rest and enjoy the marvelous Andean sunset. Meditation and contact with our Shamanic guide. Dinner around the campfire. The guide will give us an interesting explanation about the secrets of the Marcahuasi Plateau.
Day 2
Marcahuasi
Andean breakfast. During the morning we will walk around the Humanity Circuit Tour, where we can appreciate different kind of figures, such as the humanity monument with 13 different profiles, the turtle, the African lions, the elephant, the prophet and the alchemist. Return to the campsite for lunch and rest. In the afternoon, we carry on with the Treasure Circuit Tour, including the amphitheater, the Indian man, the altar of frogs and the mayoral.
Dinner around the campfire. Evening meditation and a possibility of a UFO sighting.
Day 3
Marcahuasi
Andean breakfast. Today we will walk to the Fortress, famous for its UFO sightings. During our walk, we will stop to meditate in one of the seven crosses carved in the rocks of the plateau, which is located next to Cachu Cachu Lake. This cross is considered to be an energy vortex and is known for its healing powers. We will appreciate the Egyptian God, the astronaut, the alligator, the pilot, the condor (different phases) and the black and white queens.
Return to the campsite, dinner at fireplace, where we will discuss experiences.
Day 4
Marcahuasi -San Pedro de Casta-Lima
Andean breakfast. Visit the archeological Inca and pre-Inca ruins called Chullpas (cemetery) and walk down to the village of San Pedro de Casta. Visit the mummies in the school museum. Return by bus to Lima. Transfer to your hotel.
