Day 1
La Paz to Caranavi, Guanay
Private transportation from La Paz, crossing the highlands and the Royal Andes Range at the pass of "La Cumbre" at 4,650 m/15,256 ft. You will drop down to 1,150 m/3,773 ft arriving at the village of Yolosa, where various tropical plants like coffee, papaya, banana and citric fruits grow. The trip continues through Caranavi, a busy commercial center of the northern region of La Paz. Finally we reach Guanay, once an important gold mining center. (6 hours). Overnight at Basic hotel. Lunch and dinner included.
Day 2
Guanay to Rurrenabaque
Travel by boat down the Caca river, joining the Beni river. These are two of the main tributaries of the Amazon River. The landscape is impressive, where we will be able to appreciate the wildlife and nature of the region. Our last stop is Rurrenabaque (8 hours) at the banks of the river. Overnight at the Safari hotel. Breakfast, lunch and dinner included.
Day 3
Rurrenabaque to Reyes and Santa Rosa
Travel through Reyes and Santa Rosa, enter the Yacuma river with rich gallery forest and fauna. Overnight at the Caracoles Lodge. Breakfast, lunch and dinner included.
Day 4
Return to Rurrenabaque
Return to Rurrenabaque by boat and take the opportunity to spot river dolphins, monkeys, turtles, capybaras and caimans, as well as lots of birds and macaws. Overnight at Hotel Safari. Breakfast, lunch and dinner included.
Day 5
Rurrenabaque to Chalalan
Travel by boat on the Beni and Tuichi rivers to Chalalan. Walk through the forest to the lodge, lunch and rest. Afternoon to learn of Madidi National Park and the project of the community. Trek through the Chichilo and Mirador trails. After dinner, trek to see the night wildlife. Overnight at Chalalan Ecolodge. Breakfast, lunch and dinner included.
Day 6
Chalalan
Trek the Wabucuru and Marimono trails, explore the ecological processes, wildlife and visit the small ruins. Good opportunity to see wild animals, return to Chalalan After dinner and enjoy games related with biodiversity and memory, associated with Chalalan. Overnight at Chalalan Ecolodge. Breakfast, lunch and dinner included.
Day 7
Return to Rurrenabaque and end in La Paz
Early breakfast and departure, hike to the port in the Tuichi river and then travel by boat to Rurrenabaque (3 hours). Flight to La Paz with both transfers. Breakfast included.
