The Sabi Sands Private Game Reserve (adjoining Kruger National Park) features four separate safari lodges encompassing the philosophy of “Yesterday, Today, Tomorrow”. Representing “Tomorrow”, Earth Lodge reflects a new era of luxury and environmental consciousness. The Sabi Sands Game Reserve is a 65,000 hectare (160,618 acre) wildlife sanctuary and enjoys one of the most bio-diverse wildlife populations in Africa. It has only ever been a wilderness area and is home to a vast wildlife population including The Big Five and a number of endangered species as well. Flanking the Kruger National Park, animals pass unhindered between the reserves.
Designed to be harmonious with nature, Earth Lodge is sculpted into a slope, becoming almost indistinguishable from the surrounding landscape. Each of 13 ultra-luxurious suites includes individually designed furniture, a private plunge pool, en-suite glass fronted bathroom, indoor and outdoor showers and butler services. The lodge provides indoor/outdoor dining area overlooking a waterfall, a boma (outdoor dining area), library, art gallery, meditation garden, wine cellar and spa. Earth Lodge is all inclusive of meals, drinks and morning and evening game drives (either in private open air Land Rovers or on foot) with an accompanying Game Ranger and Shangaan Tracker.
This trip can be customized to fit your individual travel dates and any specific requests you may have. Your travel consultant will prepare a customized itinerary for you.

Day 1
Flight from Cape Town to Kruger Mpumalanga airport. Upon arrival, reception and transfer to your game lodge. Enjoy the rest of the day at leisure.
Day 2
First Day on Safari:
Open safari vehicles with seating for up to 6 visitors head out into the wild under the expert guidance of experienced rangers and insightful trackers.
Guests are able to get in close contact with Africa's most exciting wildlife species and are presented with unparalleled photographic opportunities.
Early morning game drive heads out as the sun rises and as the bush stirs to life. The ranger and tracker teams search for animals by tracking their spoor, and by listening for the tell-tale signs of activity.
The middle of the day is free to relax at the hotel. Enjoy a guided bush walk with an experienced ranger to feel the pulse of Africa under your feet and witness the bush at close quarters. The bush has its own language and it is fascinating to watch those who possess the tools to encode it. No two bush walks are the same.
Late afternoon game drive commences as the sun burns its way towards the horizon. The animals are now getting more active, many preparing for the great hunt after dark. After sundowners, the drive continues with the aid of powerful spotlights which reveal nocturnal species in another world.
On average, approximately 6 hours of game drives per day.
Day 3
Another Safari day starting with morning game drive, followed by free time and late afternoon game drive. Each day will differ in the animals that may be near or ask your tracker to search out animals which you may have not seen yet. Trackers watch the road for spoor and prints and communicate with other vehicles to find where the best viewing of the day may be. In the evening, animals come out of the shade. You may be lucky enough to witness lions heading off on a hunt or elephants silhouetted before the vibrant colors of the sunset.
Day 4
Last Safari day and last chance to see these remarkable animals in the wild. One never knows what amazing moment they will observe.
Day 5
After your morning activity and breakfast you will be transferred to the airport for your flight to Cape Town or continue with the Yampu Tours add-on of your choice.

- Big Five animals (lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo and rhino) may be viewed all year round.
- Visitors to South Africa for tourism, short business meetings, or those in transit do not require visas for stays of up to 90 days.
- Travelers entering South Africa from WHO-designated yellow fever countries are required to present their current and valid “International Certificate of Vaccination as approved by the World Health Organization (WHO)” (commonly called a “yellow card”) or statement of medical exemption (also located on the same yellow card). Additionally, South Africa treats Zambia and Tanzania as yellow fever countries. This requirement is imposed on travelers flying to South Africa via yellow fever countries, even when transiting passengers are required to stay on board the plane, or if the plane makes an unscheduled landing in a yellow fever country. As a precaution, all travelers to South Africa should carry their original yellow card.
- While most of South Africa is malaria-free, malaria risk exists throughout the year in rural low-altitude areas of Limpopo and Mpumalanga provinces, including Kruger National Park and neighboring game reserves. Risk also exists in the coastal lowlands of KwaZulu-Natal north of the Tugela River (including in Zululand, but excluding urban areas of Richards Bay). In all risk areas, risk is much lower from June to September.
