On this Colombia tour, you’ll begin by exploring the colonial section of Santa Marta (Colombia’s oldest town on the Caribbean coast, founded in 1525 and home to the Quinta de San Pedro Alejandrino, where Simón Bolívar died). You’ll then head to Pueblito, an archaeological park that showcases the bridges, canals, terraces and ceramics of one of the most advanced pre-Columbian cultures: The Tayrona, descendants of the Chibcha. Last but not least: you’ll hike through Tayrona, a national park with a notably high concentration of biodiversity and 37,000 acres of jungle and almost surreal unspoiled beaches to its name.
Yampu offers a choice of 3-, 4- and 5-star hotels. Please inquire about these options with one of our travel consultants.
