5-day trekking excursion that ends in the Chavin de Huantar pre-Inca ruins.

Huaraz, at 9,000 feet, is considered to be the most important trekking and climbing center in Peru and possibly all of South America. We offer three excursions to this beautiful region, two are mostly sightseeing with very little trekking, and one which will take you on a trekking expedition around the surrounding mountains and pre-Inca sites.

The surrounding mountains, known as the Black and White Cordillera for their contrasting colors, are exceptionally beautiful. The valley between these two mountain ranges is commonly known as the “Callejon de Huaylas”. Other points of interest are the Pastoruri glacier and the Chavin de Huantar ruins, belonging to the pre-Inca Chavin culture.
