Tour Details

Before beginning your trek up to the magnificent summit of Mount Kinabalu, you will spend the night in Kota Kinabalu, a cultural hub and the capital city of Sabah. Kota Kanabulu has become the major gateway for people seeking to climb Mount Kinabalu with a chance to leisurely explore the city, its many museums, art galleries and unique restaurants.

Kinabalu National Park is Malaysia’s first UNESCO World Heritage Site, designated as such for its extremely large variety of flora and fauna. The mountain and park are filled with varieties of carnivorous plants, exotic animal species and one of the world’s most diverse selections of orchids. While the designated trail ascending the mountain is the least strenuous, it should be noted that it is still a vigorous hike at high altitude and is suggested for travellers who are in good physical condition.
