Operations Supervisor for Award Winning Tour Operator: Yampu Tours

Yampu Tours is excited to announce the opening of our West Coast office in Los Angeles and we are looking to fill a position for an Operations Supervisor to join the LA team! The ideal candidate will have previous experience working for a Tour Operator or similar. The primary duties of the Operations Supervisor consist of aiding the sales team with confirming custom tours for our clients, ensuring all flights are issued correctly and reconciling invoices with client documents. The Operations department oversees quality control so detail orientation is imperative. The Operations Supervisor leads the Operations team and reports directly to the President of the company. The team will consist of one supervisor and 3 assistants, 2 of which are based in our VT office. What You’ll Do:

  • Lead department to ensure highest level of customer satisfaction
  • Complete training for your team and other departments
  • Oversee the management of all bookings and ensure they are sent out in a timely manner
  • Liaise with in-country specialists to resolve any issues
  • Work side by side with our air department to ensure all flights are issued correctly and work well with the itinerary
  • Taking control of our 24h emergency phone in collaboration with department assistants
  • Learn and use the company computer system to its full capacity
  • Demonstrate competency of destination knowledge
  • Collaborate with multiple departments to ensure accuracy of information

Ideal Qualifications:

  • High School diploma
  • 2 + years in a supervisory role preferred
  • Relevant Tour Operator experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products and ability to quickly master new computer systems
  • Positive attitude
