Meet the Wildlife Up Close
Enjoy safari, wildlife, or birding experiences. We often seek out travel experiences, which open our eyes to glorious flora and resplendent fauna unknown to us in our own natural habitats. We have an inherent primal desire to gaze upon the exotic and unfamiliar. Yampu Tours has the keys to these travel aspirations.
What Our Clients Are Saying
"My son and I, no strangers to travel (South America, the Middle East, Iceland, etc.) enjoy hiking and photography in "off-the grid" locales that are as comfortable and safe as they are exotic. The more remote, the better; the more animal life, the better. So our travel company Yampu arranged a week in Costa Rica that packed a lot into our six days, which provided us with more of a "jungle punch" than, ironically, any of our other jungle experiences--Ecuadorian, Peruvian and Brazilian Amazon jungles.
This is because the company's co-owner, whom we met in the Peruvian Amazon, makes it a point of business and honor to travel herself to check out the lodges and hotels. We were confident that wherever we ended up would be perfect for us. So we left everything to her and we were not let down. Every place was wonderful.
"Every hotel /lodging you set up for us was superb and a place we would gladly rebook or advise any of our friends to book. Every driver was courteous and an excellent and safe driver—most notable in this was our Namibia guide who took us through some scary mountain roads and when questioned about his superb safe driving told us that he had actually taught for the army in difficult terrain driving!
Every guide was knowledgeable, courteous and unfailingly helpful including inventiveness about how to structure each tour so that I could participate to the maximum despite my disabilities. Every arrangement was reliable and was on time or early. The times we had to check on or change anything were reachable immediately through the phone numbers you gave us.
We couldn’t recommend you or any of the services you provided for us more highly. This was much appreciated because I was traveling with a significant handicap due to Parkinsons disease and didn’t want to be a burden or limit the opportunities of my able bodied sister."
"Thank you from the bottom of my heart for an exquisite 23 day Africa experience. With a little bit of careful planning my sister and I did it ALL!!! From balloon flights over the Namibian Dunes to being 8 feet from 9 lions feeding on a buffalo they had just killed in Sabi Sands to city explorations of Pretoria, Capetown and Johannesburg, we saw it all. And due to your efforts there was never a missed connection or even a slightly late connection--everyone showed up on time or even early. We never had a moments worry. We ate all the exceptional food, drank ice in our drinks and had a wonderful gastronomic, even gourmet, time without any repercussions .
I never thought we could do this without a hitch but thanks to you we did. Everyone was very compassionate helpful resourceful and accommodating.
"It is difficult to put into words that will mean anything just how spectacular our Antarctica trip was. It is certainly a destination relatively few will have the good fortune to enjoy. All our friends asked us, “Why do you want to go to Antarctica?” I couldn’t really answer before I left to those who do not travel much. However, now I can say it is the ultimate wilderness, probably one of the few left on earth.
The Expedition Crew was superlative. Their lectures onboard were both interesting and informative and this expertise was extended as they manned the zodiacs and continued to educate us on land.
The flights Yampu selected for us were very good. Yampu’s Ushuaia partner was fantastic – my highest commendations go out to them – delivering our bag to us AFTER the ship had left port. One more reason booking with Yampu pays in the long run.
People always ask us, “Why do you deal with people in the US?” My answer is simple – Yampu pays attention to our needs beyond anything I have seen elsewhere. They are there with suggestions and improvements and are always one step ahead. They put a network of companies in affect that look after the customer every step of the way. When things go wrong they are there with a solution. Somewhere in the vast network of travel today mistakes will happen. The true measure of an unbeatable company is how they solve those problems if and when they happen.
This was our fourth major trip with Yampu and in our case they have been flawless. That speaks volumes – why would we go anywhere else? I know the fine work ethic is your doing Jose as you have assembled a core of like-minded professionals. My Tilley hat is off to you!"
"Thank you SO much. Our monkey morning was more amazing than either of us could have predicted. You are our travel agent forever."
"We enjoyed every minute.
More later but just wanted you to know how much we appreciated your professionalism, expertise, and help for one of our best trips ever.
"Thank You so much for pulling it all together last minute! Cape Town was great! Our guide was really really really good. She was able to add a visit to a township for $10 and tried to help us book paragliding from Table Top Mountain for us but the weather didn’t cooperate. Also, I am specially glad that we ended up at the Thornybush Private Reserve in their Jackalberry Lodge, it was amazing!!!! 1000% recommended!
Thanks Again for planning our trip to South Africa, we were really pleased with your work! Look forward to hearing from you."
