Tour Overview

This Yampu Adventure in Panama: Wildlife and Natural Sights trip takes you on a journey of several different Panama hot spots. You will start in the capital city of Panama and kayak on the Panama Canal. Later you will have a chance to explore the Rainforest Discovery Center along the famous Pipeline Road. Boquete will be the next stop and will serve as a great area for adventure starting with a zipline and canopy tour and ending with a white water rafting trip on the Viejo. You visit the highlights of Boquete including waterfall hiking, coffee tasting, and stop at the hot springs before flying to the tropical islands of Bocas del Toro. In Bocas del Toro you will have the opportunity to visit Starfish beach and swim and snorkel among the reefs before heading back to Panama City.

Inclusions
Prices include round trip domestic airfare for Panama City to David, and David to Bocas del Toro, Bocas del Toro to Panama City hotel accommodation with daily continental breakfast, pricing also includes three nights accommodation in Bocas del Toro hotels. Depending upon which hotel you choose this could mean half board at Punta Caracol which includes breakfast, dinner and use of snorkel gear and kayaks, for Laguna Azul, Tranquilo Bay and Popa Paradise which are all inclusive/full board properties all meals and daily guided activities are included. For all other areas the price includes guided tours in English, meals where specified, entrance fees, transportation between hotels, transfers between airport and hotel, naturalist guides and taxes. Local airport taxes that are payable in the country of destination are not included. Taxes and security fees that can be paid at time of ticketing are already included.

This morning be met at the hotel for a transfer to Gatun Lake which is the ultimate in tranquility! Join the Kayak Tour on the Panama Canal and embark on a voyage with Mother Nature. Experience a true Tropical Rain forest at a leisure pace that will allow travelers to quietly go with the current and perchance come upon unique jungle birds, monkeys, sloth's, maritime life surrounded by tropical flora and fauna. Panama Rain Forest Discovery Center

This morning, set off for the Panama Rain Forest Discovery Center which is located on the famous Pipeline road, one of the most renowned places in the world for bird watching. In fact, here was established a record number for a bird count organized in 1985 by the Audubon Society, when 385 species were identified in 24 hours. Together with the naturalist guide, drive to Gamboa and start walking on the pipeline road to get to the Rain Forest Discovery Center. Start at the visitor center, observing up to 13 species of hummingbirds that are recorded in our feeders. Continue on the trails observing birds of the undergrowth such as manakins, anteaters and trogons. Go up the 40-meter tower to contemplate birds in the canopy such as the famous blue cotinga and toucans, and visit the viewing platform by the lake to see aquatic birds like wattled jacanas, least grebes, herons and snail kites. Panama City- Boquete

Today leave the Panama City hotel and transfer to the airport for a flight to David. Upon arrival, reception and transfer to Boquete. Once settled in, enjoy an afternoon zip-line and canopy tour. Glide through the treetops of century-old forests, high above the pristine rivers and waterfalls that make up the incredible collection of natural landscapes bordering the National Park La Amistad and the famous Baru Volcano. The zipline has a length of 2 miles (3 km.) and it is divided into 12 cables and 14 platforms built in the middle of the cloud forest. White Water Rafting

Today, go on a white water rafting adventure on Chiriqui Viejo. This section of the Viejo is a fun ride where plenty of high and deep wave trains provide continuous excitement. Ranked as a class II with several class III rapids, the Sabo section is also a great place for bird watching. Kingfishers, Cormorants, and Egrets are common sights down the Sabo section of the Rio Chiriqui Viejo. This less technical section is great for beginners looking for excitement.
Note: Minimum age is six years old, one should be in good physical condition for 4-6 hours of moderate paddling, swimming, and carrying boat and gear. Trip details may change due to severe weather or unforeseen events. Please bring original passport while crossing the Costa Rican border after Paso Canoas to the starting point of this rafting trip.

Dolphin Bay

This morning, after breakfast, and a short walk, begin today's adventure in Bocas Town with a short boat ride to Dolphin Bay to observe dolphins playing in their natural habitat. The mainland coast and the mountain regions of Panama serve as an exquisite background for photo opportunities. Then, venture to Coral Cay for snorkeling (2 locations) and time for lunch at an over-the-water restaurant providing beautiful views of the archipelago islands of Bocas del Toro (lunch not included). The afternoon will be spent at Red Frog Beach one of the premier beaches of the region. Spend a few hours at this oceanfront beach with waves, sand and sun. Today guests will enjoy an exploration of Bocas del Toro to Bird Island. On the short boat ride to the island, observe a wide variety of marine life and birds that migrate to the region each year. The mainland coast and the mountain regions of Panama serve as an exquisite background for photo opportunities. Travelers will then venture to Boca del Drago for swimming, snorkeling and lunch at a popular restaurant on the tip of Isla Colon (lunch not included). Enjoy the white sand beach and culture that this location has to offer. The full afternoon will be spent at Starfish Beach and a chance to see starfish in the sea.
