Tour Overview

Croatia is well known for its delicious wines, idyllic coastline, and colorful history, but even adrenaline junkies can find excitement in the Pearl of the Adriatic. With Yampu Tours’ Adventures through Dalmatia Tour, explorers can spend 8-exciting days venturing along the Dalmatian coastline while resting in the historic cities of Split and Dubrovnik.

Starting in the bustling city of Split, once Roman emperor, Diocletian’s summer getaway, visitors will take in the world’s most impressive Roman monuments before cruising the nearby islands. On Vis Island, explore the magical Blue Cave for an astounding natural light show before transferring north to Krka National Park. Here, explorers will appreciate some of the most beautiful waterfalls complemented by a breathtaking canyon within an idyllic retreat for hikers, cyclists, and nature lovers.

On the way to Dubrovnik, adrenaline seekers will make a stop in the village of Omis to zip across the striking canyon carved by the River Cetina. The 8-line zipline experience crosses nearly 500 feet (500 meters) above the river with some lines as long as a half-mile (700 meters) in length.  After taking in some of the most beautiful views in Croatia, the tour ends in the city of Dubrovnik with a sea kayaking tour, stopping near the “cursed” Island of Lokrum for cave exploring and snorkeling.

Hvar Island, Vis Island & Blue Cave Tour

This morning, embark on the private boat from Split and cruise to Island Hvar, one of the world's most truly exquisite destinations. You will be anchored in the historical heart of the island, Hvar Town. The town is situated in a landscape where the blue of the deep bay touches the green of the wide and famous field of Pharos, with vineyards and olive-groves.

Then, continue to Vis island. We could say that island Vis is true paradise. From the distance it looks like one mountain with the highest peak of 587 meters (1925 feet). When you get close to island, numerous bays and coves open in front of your eyes with beautiful beaches and rich vegetation of pine trees, olive trees and vineyards.
You will also visit Blue Cave, a water-logged sea cave located in a small bay called Balun on the east side of the island of Bisevo. Sunlight reflects through the water onto the White Sea bottom and sheds aquamarine light throughout the cave, while causing objects in the water to appear silver. Blue Cave is one of the best-known natural beauties on the Adriatic because of the glowing blue light that appears at certain times of day.

Omis Zipline Activity

Today, you will depart to Omis for a zipline. The adrenalin infused zipline polygon is located in the canyon of the River Cetina, 3 km from Omis. It consists of eight (8) steel cables across which participants, sitting in a belt, descend down the canyon.

The total length of the cables is 2,100 m, the longest of which is 700 m and is 150 m above ground level. To cross the entire polygon accompanied by two guides, a group of 10 persons requires two and a half hours. After ziplining, you will have free time for lunch.

Then, continue to Dubrovnik, the pearl of the Adriatic. Dubrovnik lies in the extreme south of Croatia, basking in glorious Mediterranean sunshine for much of the year. A fairytale fortress of beautiful Baroque, Gothic and Renaissance churches, aristocratic palaces, red-roofed townhouses, magnificent monasteries and fascinating history, it is almost impossible to feel anything but uplifted and inspired here.

A ++ experience!

We used Yampu last Christmas (2017) for a 2 week trip in Argentina. From the very first email to the follow up after our trip, everything was perfect with Yampu. The hotel selection was matching our needs, the transfers between locations and airports all went very smoothly, the overall trip plan was a good balance of sightseeing, discovery and personal time. The guides were all so friendly and knowledgeable. This was a A+ experience. Our main point of contact in the USA was Christine Cronin. She did an amazing job for us. We like their services so much that we are now planning another trip with Yampu.

Everything went very smoothly on our private tour

Everything went very smoothly on our private tour, many thanks. We were able to see many different regions and aspects of Mexico making it a simply fascinating experience. We had a great time in Mexico City and Taxko (sadly Puebla was flooded and had to be taken out of the itinerary), and were able to take in the Aztek culture and Spanish colonial architecture. Then in the north, Copper Canyon (bigger than the Grand Canyon in the US) and the amazing train journey. The trip at the end to Baja California we managed to see the grey whales and the Yucatan and beautiful Maya ruins. The exposure to these very different areas in a short time made this a truly memorable journey.

Flawless.

We really enjoyed the trip to Vietnam, Cambodia and Northern Thailand.

Aside from the fact that we had flooding and President’s trip to Vietnam, everything else was perfect. Flawless.

All the guides were knowledgeable and we saw what exactly we were looking for.

Thank you and Yampu for a very good trip.
