Places You'll See

  • Bari

A port city along the Adriatic Sea, Bari’s traditional harbor and old town, coupled with some of Italy’s best beaches and an outstanding food scene makes the city a can’t miss destination. Visitors will love the winding streets, sea breeze from the pristine beaches and historic sites such as Basilica di San Nicola, a pilgrimage site that holds the remains of St. Nicholas.

  • Matera

Once a place of poverty, Matera’s Sassi area is a complex of ancient cave dwellings carved into the mountainside that has since been refitted from what were considered shameful slums into hotels, bars, restaurants, and homes. Visitors will enjoy losing themselves in the labyrinth of alleyways and taking in one of the oldest cities in history. Visit the MUSMA modern art museum with modern sculptures strewn through a 17th-century cave palace and visit The Casa Grotta di Vico Solitario to see how people once lived in these cave dwellings.

  • Fasano

Fasano is a quaint town and commune filled with picturesque archways and piazzas.  Located in the province of Puglia, the “heel” of Italy’s boot shape, Fasano blends the rich farmland hills and the bountiful catches from the sea for an unforgettable flavor of fresh ingredients and culture. With miles of olive groves along its countryside that date back hundreds of years, visitors should be sure to visit the Olive Oil Museum.

  • Lecce

Sitting on the tip of Italy’s “heel”, Lecce protrudes into the Adriatic Sea and is a short distance from many favorable coastal destinations. Known by some as “the Florence of the South”, Lecce is famed for its idyllic location and beautiful historic architecture including the ornate Basilica di Santa Croce with its Baroque façade and rose windows.

Best customer care & itineraries

I am recently returned from my third trip organised by Yampu, this time to Costa Rica. As always, it was fabulous from start to finish!

I do look around initially when planning my holidays but each time Karolina offers the best customer care & arranges by far the best itineraries. Value for money is excellent & they keep in constant contact before during & afterwards to make sure everything is going well.

The standard of accommodation & guides they use is superb & they actually listen to your requests as opposed to copying a generic page from their website…. Do I highly recommend Karolina & Yampu? YES!  Will I use them again? YES!  Save time & effort & just use Yampu is my travel tip  🙂
