Makalali Conservancy
The Makalali Conservancy is one of South Africa’s major privately owned conservation areas. This beautiful area of rolling hills offers fantastic vantage points and unforgettable, panoramic views across the landscape. Makalali, meaning “place of rest” in Shangaan, consists mostly of open grasslands, sporadically broken up different types of trees, including marula, knobthorn and jackalberry trees. The Makhutswi River also flows through this conservancy.
