Places You'll See

  • Nairobi

As one of the largest cities in all of Africa, there is much to see and do in Nairobi. Visit the Nairobi National Park, home to herds of Zebra, Giraffes, Lions, Hippos, and birldlife. Or the Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage to play with baby elephants. Head to the Tana River for white water rafting, or the Nairobi National Museum to learn about Kenya’s history and culture.

  • Amboseli National Park

For one of the best wildlife-viewing experiences of a lifetime, visit the Amboseli National Park. With an ecosystem of several swamps and dry, dusty ground, the park is home to over 400 species of wild birds, as well as many land animals such as African elephants, Cape buffalo, Masai lions and giraffes, and Plains zebra.

  • Samburu

Northern Kenya’s Samburu region is known for its rugged scenery, dry landscapes, and distinctive wildlife. The area supports species adapted to arid environments, including Grevy’s zebra, reticulated giraffe, Beisa oryx, Somali ostrich, and gerenuk. Its cultural heritage is closely connected to the Samburu people and their pastoral traditions. The region offers a quieter, more remote safari experience.

  • Mathews Range

Depicted as a range of magnificent rusty bluffs and ridges and stretches over 150 km along the northern frontier of Kenya. It is a wonderful place to observe large numbers of elephants along with, leopards, buffalo, lions, and a variety of bird species. Memories will be established as you embark on day and evening game drives or enjoy a swim in the Ewaso Ng’iro River.

  • Reteti Elephant Sanctuary

Reteti Elephant Sanctuary is a community-led conservation initiative in northern Kenya. It cares for orphaned elephant calves while supporting local involvement in wildlife protection. Visitors can learn about the sanctuary’s work and the challenges of caring for young elephants. The experience highlights the relationship between community livelihoods and conservation.

  • The Masai Mara

One of the best known national reserves in Africa, the Masai Mara, offers the experience to see some of Africa’s wildlife in their natural environment. Take a morning, afternoon, or night drive through the reserve with a skilled guide who will help you spot animals you wouldn’t see on your own. Visit in the late summer and witness the Great Migration.

  • Leopard Gorge Conservancy

Located beside the Maasai Mara ecosystem, Leopard Gorge Conservancy offers a more private setting for wildlife exploration. Its open plains and escarpment views create a distinctive backdrop for safari activities. Depending on camp arrangements and conditions, guests may enjoy day and night game drives, guided walks, and cultural experiences. The conservancy also offers opportunities to observe wildlife beyond the busier reserve circuits.
