Tour Overview

This complete Active Argentina Tour for the Adventurous Family will guide you to the three extraordinary regions in Argentina. In Buenos Aires you will visit a typical Estancia and enjoy a typical Argentinean barbeque a lo gaucho. In Iguazu Falls, allow the deep-flowing waters of the Iguazu River, plunging over 275 falls, to mesmerize your entire family. In El Calafate you will visit the Estancia Cristina, the breathtaking Upsala Glacier, and the magnificent Perito Moreno Glacier, one of only three glaciers not retreating in Patagonia.

Buenos Aires has managed to preserve old traditions and charming corners. One is fascinated by the atmosphere, the individual personality of each of its neighborhoods, the cordiality of its people and the wide selection of its cultural and commercial opportunities. This tour includes the visit to a typical Gaucho estancia for Argentinean barbeque and rancho activities.

The Iguazu Falls and National Park are the largest in the Americas, surrounded by an amazing wildlife preserve in the middle of the jungle. The deep flowing waters of the river fall from a height of thirty feet through almost three hundred falls over two miles. The border with Brazil goes through the Garganta del Diablo (Devil’s Throat) where the falling water gives the illusion of magic rainbows. Yampu travelers will take a boat ride to see Devil’s Throat up close (don’t forget your raincoat!), and walk through the nearby trails.

We will visit the magnificent Perito Moreno Glacier, a true ice river 60kms long that drops down to Lake Argentina, and one of only three Patagonian glaciers that are not retreating. We will also explore the northern tip of the Lago Argentino and the Estancia Cristina to see the breathtaking Upsala Glacier, 30km wide and the largest in the Patagonia.

I had a fantastic time

Here is my feedback and my overall impressions of the trip. I had a fantastic time! Everything was very well planned (that includes excursions, transfers, accommodation, and reservations), I enjoyed the right amount of assistance and privacy at the same time. The tango show was amazing and thanks for suggesting it; the Perito Moreno glacier was impressive; Tierra del Fuego Park beautiful- half day tour was exactly what we wanted. In Mendoza, wine tour was interesting and the wineries were beautiful and very different from each other (good to have variety). The Aconcagua excursion was worthy. Although 2-3 h drive to get there, the scenery is beautiful with lots of fresh air.
