Afternoon private tour to Corcovado with private driver and guide. The tour begins in Cosme Velho's neighborhood. The cog train rolls through the Tijuca Forest, the largest urban forest in the world and up to the statue. Once there, enjoy a panoramic and extraordinary view of Rio, including the Sugar Loaf, the Guanabara Bay, the beaches of Southern Zone and the Rodrigo de Freitas lagoon. At the peak of the hill is Christ the Redeemer, the art deco statue of Jesus Christ and icon of Rio. After the visit of the Corcovado, the tour continues to Sao Conrado area with a brief stop at the Pepino beach to appreciate hang gliders overhead. Transfer back to the hotel.

Today enjoy a private Half Day Tour to the Sugar Loaf with private driver/guide.
This tour begins with a stroll through downtown Rio, passing by the Sambodrome, and the Metropolitan Cathedral, in pyramid form, with internal diameter of 96 meters and height of 80 meters. Get to know the traditional Cinelandia square with the historical buildings, the Municipal Theater, the National Library and the National Museum of Fine Arts. By taking the Aterro do Flamengo, head to the neighborhood of Urca to find one of the largest symbols of the city: The Sugar Loaf. This visit is made in two steps by cable car. The first cable car takes passengers to Urca Hill which is 215 meters high and provides a beautiful view of the Guanabara Bay and its islands, the Rio-Niteroi bridge and Corcovado hill. From this stage, a second cable car will be taken up to the top with 395 meters to find a splendid view of Copacabana beach, the Santa Cruz fortress and some beaches of Niteroi.

Tonight, experience the show at the Rio Scenarium (this tour does not include dinner). Located in the Lapa area, Rio Scenarium is one of the premier places to listen to the best of Brazilian music, and where the real carioca spirit of bohemian way of life can be felt. The venue is an antique shop during the day, and a live music bar during the night. The programming changes every month. The show ends around midnight.
Note: If one prefers a traditional samba performance on a stage, Rio Plataforma can be included. After dinner, enjoy a Brazilian music presentation at the famous Rio Plataforma. Rio Plataforma is one of the premier places to listen to the best of Brazilian music. Please ask a Yampu travel consultant.

Morning transfer to the airport to take the flight to Manaus. Reception at the Manaus airport and transfer to the lodge in a van for a three-hour drive into the jungle. Upon arrival, enjoy a welcome cocktail followed by a tour of the lodge. Lunch at the lodge. Afternoon, departure through Anavilhanas Islands in regional watercraft. The numerous canals (paranas), lakes and islands of the largest river archipelago in the world are explored. Visitors disembark on one of the islands to examine its unique ecosystem, observing regional plant and wildlife. Dinner at the lodge. After dinner, caiman sightseeing. Early morning breakfast, followed by forest hike. Led by experienced local guides, explore the forest, where it is possible to observe some of the greatest Amazonian mysteries. One will also learn about the trees, wild fruit, herbs and jungle survival. The trail can be done entirely on foot, but one can also return to the lodge by means of a delightful canoe ride. Lunch. Afternoon, visit the Amazonian dolphins and go piranha fishing. This is a fun fishing expedition in wooden canoes through regional riverbanks, where one will be able to catch some piranhas as well as other fish while admiring the sights, sounds and smells of the forest. Leaving before dusk, one will be led to a lake in Anavilhanas to observe birds and other animals in transit and contemplate the colors and nuances of Amazonian skies. Breakfast. Visit a handicraft studio and naval shipyard in Novo Airao. Next, visit two regional craft centers where one can see the work of local craftsmen in their workplace.
