Isla Negra

After breakfast depart La Casona and head towards Isla Negra, a small beach side community with a pretty beach backed by fragrant pine trees. This is the place where Chilean Nobel Prize for Literature winner Pablo Neruda chose to build one of his houses. The eccentric architecture houses some of his collections, including bottles, figureheads from ships, shells and various other eclectic articles. Continue to Valparaiso. Valparaiso's picturesque layout, enhanced by the surrounding hills that seem to dive into the ocean, remind us that this was once the most important maritime destination of the Pacific coast before the Strait of Panama was opened to navigation in 1914. We will visit the downtown area with its new government house, the Plaza Sotomayor, the Plaza Victoria, the cathedral and the harbor area. Afterwards we will discover the colorful hill neighborhoods. Here, high above the city, there is a fantastic agglomeration of brightly painted houses and a fantastic view over the city. The upper and lower parts of the city are connected with 16 funicular railways constructed around the turn of the century when the city experienced tremendous growth. Afterwards, transfer to your hotel Vina Vik for the night. ...read less

In 1885, German architect Teodoro Burchard finished building the neo-gothic chapel to one side of the old landowner’s house. Despite the passage of time, everything is very well preserved. I have never had such an amazing experience with a touring agency

I would like to say that you have been totally awesome in every way in arranging such an amazing trip, and handling any bumps along the way. I have never had such an amazing experience with a touring agency. You guys are very, very, well organized, coordinated and efficient.  The trip went ultra smoothly.

We were able to thoroughly enjoy the trip without having to worry about any of the usual logistics of traveling! That makes it even more enjoyable!

The hotels, guides, drivers, restaurants, and excursions were all top notch! All except for that one restaurant in Valparisio. LOL! But Thank You for hooking us up with the Mako restaurant in El Calafate! That was awesome! I havent had a chance to catch up with Ashiq after the trip yet either, but we are definitely keeping you in mind for our next adventure!!
