Lodge Overview
Sanctuary Ngorongoro Crater Camp is located in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area – situated in the Ngorongoro Crater rim valley, close to the access road into the crater, giving guests unrivaled access to the crater floor. Ngorongoro is home to a large assortment of animals including zebra, buffalo, warthog, wildebeest, hippo and elephants; and an amazing population of predators – lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs and the elusive leopard. The camp offers ten classic safari tents – each with its own en-suite bathroom and indoor bucket shower, with personal tent attendant filling the bucket shower to the perfect temperature whenever required from the outside. The tents also feature hairdryers and plug points and a small sitting area in front of each of the tents where early morning coffee and biscuits can be enjoyed before starting the day of incredible game viewing. The main common areas include a dining area, bar area and lounge area as well as comfortable sofas placed in specially-selected locations around the camp.

Ngorongoro Conservation Area
The Ngorongoro Conservation Area, a crater caused by a collapsed volcano, is now home to a wide variety of wildlife and vegetation. With one of the densest populations of lions in the world, there’s a good chance of spotting one, along with zebra, buffalo, and even black rhinos. Also home to Olduvai Gorge, considered the seat of humanity.
